Wow where did the time go...

Well I'll tell you...the time went to changing about 18 diapers a day, making & cleaning 20 bottles a day, feeding them 9 jars of baby food per day & of course devoting every minute of my day to loving & caring for them. Yeah that sums up the last year that went by in the blink of an eye! lol

The kids are really doing great!

Arianna is FINALLY crawling (insert happy Mommy dance here) Woot Woot!! I guess therapy is helping her a LOT! The down side is that she is crawling with her legs spread out instead of on her knees thanks to her low tone. Though she is super flexible that isn't always a good thing. Crawling around in a splits position doesn't seem like it feels good either. So her PT wants us to put her in HipHelpers which are shorts she wears under her clothes that stop her legs from spreading to far. I know it's going to help her a lot & I'm excited for her fitting next week. Other then that she is right on track or advanced for all her fine motor & speech skills. She is so determined & love her so much for that ;)

Araceli is every where. She gets into everything lol! She is getting a lot better at standing & cruising along furniture which means less falls (insert Mommy no longer needing heart medication dance lol). She is going to be walking very soon. She can already take a few steps before falling & she loves to push her walker around the house. She of course is right on target or advanced for everything.

She reminds me so much of Nevy which could explain why those two bumps heads so much. I swear Celi & Nevy are always fighting lol. You would think the Twins would fight (which they do sometimes)but 95% of the time it's Celi & Nevy lol. Ari usually just watches & waits for them to be distracted & sneaks in to steal the toy they were fighting over lol.

Nevaeh is loving school. She has so much fun. I love all the new things she learns & all the great things she makes. Really this program is soooo good for her!

As for everything else....

Gramp is doing great! Came home Friday & is back to sort of normal. He can't lift heavy things or drive. Other then that he is his normal pain in the butt self & I'm sure he is driving my Gram nuts lol.

As for Jose & work...well thats a long story & he's still trying to figure things out. He has some other companies wanting him & offering him a lot of money. So the poor guy is stuck in the middle right now & doesnt know if he will stay or leave.

As for me I'm doing pretty good. I caught the kids cold but seems to be pretty mild (so far anyway). I've just been busy with holiday & party plans for the Twins. I hope to see all of you at their 1st b-day party Dec. 5th!! (check your Facebook EVENTS for the invites!)

Well until next time which will probably be after the TWINS ARE ONE!!! lol

Time just passes by..

Wow it's been over a month since my last post. I'm so sorry everyone. Things have been nuts!! As usual! lol

I guess I'll start back on 9/22 when the girls had their 9 month (almost 10) check up.

Araceli was 18lbs 15oz (40th %tile) & 28 1/8 inches tall (60th %tile).
Arianna was 17lbs 9oz (20th %tile) & 27 1/4 inches tall (25th %tile).

Everything was great & on track for both girls. They also got their flu shots.

Now for an "over the month update".....

Arianna~ She is doing so well with thearpy. It shocks me to see her progress since this all started. She couldn't even hold her head up & now she sits totally unsupported, she can get from sitting to laying, rolls all over the place & now scoots across the floors. She is starting to self feed & is blah blahing up a storm lol. She has done so well & I'm so proud of her! She is such a calm baby & loves to just sit & play with her toys. No teeth yet though! :)

Araceli~ Ah yes my little "Dare Devil"! Celi is now crawling on her hands & knees, pulling up on everything, attempting to walk with furniture, taking steps but falling & pretty much doing anything that will cause me to have a heart attack! She is crazy! She is also getting her first tooth!! Her top left tooth broke the gum today & she is about to get her top right & bottom two any day now! Which means four teeth at once & a totally crabby butt!! I'm surprised since Nevy didn't get her first until almost 15 months & she got 6 at once!!

I've been teaching the girls ASL & they are starting to understand the signs. It's so cute. Celi got "milk" really fast & uses it whenever she wants something to drink. Ari knows "all done" & will sign it right as I'm about to put the spoon in her mouth which sends food flying. She of course thinks this is funny.

The Twins are getting so big. They are starting to fight over things & get into everything. I can't believe their 1st b-day is only 5 weeks away!! It feels like yesterday....

As for Nevy... well she is 100% potty trained. No diapers at night or anything. She is LOVING school so much! This week is her Halloween party which she will be a witch for. The twins will be Tom Arma black cats for Halloween lol.

As for everyone else...

Well I'm ok I guess. Just been really upset about my Grandpa needing surgery soon. I know he needs it but I'm just worried about his age & health.

Jose is business as usual. Working working working! His boss is in deep do-do so there maybe an open position sometime soon....hope he gets it lol wink wink!!

Well thats it for now! Happy Halloween everyone!! Be safe, enjoy the candy & try not to gain to much lol!!

I live in a zoo with 3 monkeys too!

I know....I know! I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted. Things were a little nuts with surgery & life. :)

The twins are doing pretty good. They both have Nevy's cold now & Ari has been running a high temp but other then that they are well.

Arianna has been under the weather for over a week now but she is doing much better with fine motor skills. She can pass objects, pick things up & feed herself. She has been holding her bottle a lot more as well. She is sitting VERY well unsupported & loves to play in her playpen. She is becoming the talkative one....hummm wonder where that came from ;).....she blah blah & da da da us to death lol. She does pay way more attention to detail then Celi does & seems to focus more on the little things like "why does mommy have tape all over her tummy" or "I wonder what will happen if I try to pull said tape off mommy". Yeah that wasn't fun! Ari is now 17lbs 7oz (25th %tile) & 25 1/2 inches (5th %tile) she is my shorty.... like her parents lol. The only "short" kid we have!

Araceli....oh my little devil baby. I swear it's a good thing I've had life insurance on this kid since birth. I tell you she is going to give me a heart attack! Celi seem to believe that you have to throw yourself into everything. Nothing is done with peace or calm. She is a tornado! She flings herself everywhere & doesn't care where she lands or what body part she bumps....daddy's tomboy in the making I tell you! Celi still wont crawl on her hands & knees. She likes to scoot, pull crawl. I think the hardwood floors hurt her knees but trust me it doesn't stop her. She is now learning how to pull herself up on stuff & throw major tantrums. Yesterday she banged her head off the highchair for 10mins b/c I would give her another cracker. She already had 6! Guess that would explain why she is fatter then Ari lol. She is now 18lbs 6oz (45th %tile) & 26 3/4 inches (20th %tile).

Nevaeh my little pumpkin is her usual self. Nevy is about 31-32lbs (50th %tile) & 38inches(70th %tile). She is growing so fast! Nevy is totally potty trained now! YAY! Even at night & when we go out. She starts school Tuesday & it soooo excited about it. She can't wait to wear her new Dora shoes lol. Her speech shocks me daily. There are things you don't expect her to understand but she totally does. She shocks me when she repeats things you didn't even know she heard lol.

For example....lol....Jose wouldn't give me the remote the other night so joking around I called him a "butthead". Nevy was in her room...down the hall....with her TV on. Next thing I know she comes in our room & tells Jose "Daddy why does your head smell like a butt?" OMG I almost died laughing. It was to funny. Poor Jose didn't think it was so funny & then of course I had to explain to Nevy thats not nice to say but it was still funny lol.

As for me I doing pretty good. Healing well from surgery. I go in Tuesday for my follow up & should have the results of my liver biopsy. Which I hope everything is ok. The surgery made me lose even more weight so now I'm down about 22lbs. Which I knew would happen since I was pretty sick the first few days & then of course the week before as well. I'm finally starting to feel like my old self again though.

Jose...yeah I guess I'll do a fast update about him too lol....has had some very good spotlight on him the last few weeks b/c of sales at his store. He runs that place awesome & the VP is finally starting to notice. So talks have been in the works & he "may" be getting a promotion to a higher position at a new store & a raise but as you all know CarQuest will promise you the moon & stars but rarely deliver them. So we will see. They can't ignore his potentional much longer b/c other big name companies have been sniffing around Jose for years waiting for him to get tired of their crap. He has had offers from 3 other companies but turned them down. He's made a lot of friends in high places working at CarQuest & he's good friends with most of the shops they deliver to & doesn't want to leave but with 3 kids money is now more important then the friendship...or so he tells me. Men I tell you! Can't live with them....can't.....nope thats pretty much it lol.

Well until next time....which who knows when that will be lol. I'm lucky to shower most days let alone take 10 mins to type all this out. As I type Celi is crawling acrossed my lap trying to push keys, Ari is swinging her bottle around letting formula fly & Nevy is on the kitchen floor crying for yogurt.....yeah gotta go! :P

Surgery & baby food

Well as most of you already know I had a gallstone attack last week which put me in the ER. So I have gallbladder surgery set for Sept. 2nd. I have things lined up for the kids but I'm still worried about the surgery. I hate the idea of going under general & a machine breathing for me. It's a scary thought & I'm trying very hard NOT to think about it.

As for the girls....

I go to register Nevy next week for pre pre-school. She is going 2 days a week (Tues & thurs) in the afternoon. She is soooo excited. Nothing new really going on with Nevy just her usual funny comments & weird games lol.

The twins are getting big! They will be 9 months on the 30th! Arianna is doing so much better. She talks up a storm with lots of "dada" "mama" & "baba" lol. Celi looks at her like "shut up already!" lol. Celi is crawling forward....when she wants to anyway. It's more of a drag you knees crawl but at least she's trying! Ari wants to move so bad. You see her little legs going so fast but she doesnt go any where lol. She'll get there soon!

The girls are now eating soilds 3 times a day. I've been making a lot of their baby food which is REALLY easy & saves soooo much money. I made 4 different kinds if baby food today & it only took me 20 mins. It will last about a week! I made Avocado yogurt (which is sooo good. even Nevy eats it!), Mango & peach with cinnamon, Peach & pear with cinnamon & Chicken with apples. Yep & it only took 20 mins!

As for me...

Jose missed me being a red-head (I actually have a lot of red in my hair naturally. It was a strawberry blonde-brown as a baby) So I let him pick out a color. It turned into a nice bright (yet still dark) red. Since I had highlights before I dyed it I get different shades of red in the light. I like it a lot & so does Jose ;)
I've also lost 17lbs in the last 8 weeks! Yay me!

Well thats it. Wish me luck with the surgery. I hope I can give another update before I go in b/c who knows when I'll have time after! Until next time.....unless Nevy decides to push buttons & flip my computer screen up side down again! lol

As the world goes by...

I know it's been like FOREVER lol but things have been nuts this last month! I've had a party pretty much everyday Sat & Sun this whole last month. Things are finally slowing down. So I thought I'd do a kiddie update!

Nevy- is her usual happy self. Still doing wonderful with the potty & no accidents. She is now starting to realize the difference between English & Spanish. Before she would count to 5 in English & 6-10 in Spanish lol. Now we have to ask her to do it all in one language. She is picking up on a lot more Spanish words. Though she has always understood Spanish (thanks to Daddy) she has never really "spoke" to many words but she is getting better now. She is going to be starting a Pre pre-school program in the fall (if I ever decided which one I want to put her in lol) & is soooo excited about "Sakool" lol.

Ari- is a force that can't be stopped lol. She is determind to catch up with Celi. She is sitting unsupported most of the time but still has slight tipping over issues lol. She can now pick herself up off the ground on her hands and knees. She isn't "rocking" yet but that is b/c her back isnt strong enough to hold her up long. The OT says she will be crawling in a few weeks. She is even starting to hold her bottle.....FINALLY! Lazy girl! The only bad thing is her throat muscles are not getting better & she is still having trouble with soilds. So we have to make a Dr.'s appt for a swallow study to see whats going on but other then that she is my happy girl.

Celi- is a dare devil! I swear she is going to give me a heart attack! She is starting to pull up on things now & instead of hanging on she lets go. She actually thinks its funny when she goes flying backwards & lands on a pillow....yeah the pillow is a must or my kid would crack her crazy head on the hard wood floors lol. Her favorite is to pull on your shrit to stand and then use your lap to jump on. Yeah I know she's weird lol. Celi is also crawling backwards. It's more of an army crawl but sometimes she gets on her knees & does it. I hope she learns forward soon b/c she is always backing up over Ari. :)

So thats it for the kids. They are all doing really good. I'm so blessed to have such good girls. :)

As for me I've lost 12lbs in the last 5 weeks which is AWESOME! Yay me! lol I'm dying to go back to work but I dont want to put the Twins in daycare. So for now I'm still a SAHM ;)

Extra! Extra!

Where to start???....

Good news or BEST news first?

Guess I'll start with the good news lol....

Nevy is pretty much potty trained!! WOO HOO! She has not had an "accident" in over a week & is going poop without any problems! I still use a diaper at night but 99% of the time she stays dry. She is now telling us when she has to go when we are out & will even use other peoples bathrooms (like grandmas). I'm so proud of her. She is such a big girl now! So as I promised she gets to go to the zoo. Since her birthday party is next weekend we will probably go after that. She is VERY excited to see the tigers & monkeys! lol

Some more good news....

The Twins are going through a "growth spurt". They are eating like little piggys! They take 7oz bottles 3-4 times a day & 4-8oz in soilds 1-2 times a day. Their night bottles are now 10oz!!! Chubby chubby girls!

Celi is about 17.5lbs now (according to my scale). She is starting to feed herself finger foods. She LOVES baby cookies & toast. Anything she can chew on makes her happy...even the remote lol.

Ari is about 16.5lbs (according to my scale). Her thearpy is going so good. She is getting stronger every day. She is still having issues with eating soilds but is getting a lot better. She is such a happy baby. She smilies at EVERYTHING! :)

And for the BEST news.....

Ya ready??....

Ya sure???.....

lol....

I've lost 7lbs in 3 weeks! Yeah ME!! lol Yeah I know I'm a dork lol but I'm happy that my meds are working & I'm finally starting to feel "normal". You dont realize how crappy PCOS makes you feel until you finally feel normal again. Anyway...

We have a busy week with Nevy's 3rd birthday coming up. So if I don't have a chance to blog before then....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY ANGEL BABY! You truely are a gift from Heaven! Mommy & Daddy went through sooooo much to have you. Your our miracle baby & will always be a blessing. We love you so much!

Nevaeh Ines 7/28/07 @9:39pm
5lbs 10oz

1st B-day

2nd B-day

3rd B-day

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://double-trouble-triple-fun.blogspot.com/2010/07/extra-extra.html' title='Extra! My last 2 test have come back good & along with the pharamacy of meds I'm taking I'm starting to feel "better". So I asked the Dr. the big Q again...."Can I start to drop a few pounds now?" I got a grin & a big fat "sure go ahead". Which was nice to hear. I've been putting this off since March when things first started to look bad & the Dr. said weight loss wasn't a "great" idea until we knew what was going on & how to fix it. So I started a "rough diet" I call it "rough" b/c I cheated like 10 times last week lol yeah I know bad but hey I still lost 2lbs! :)

I've been eating a LOT healthier since we left Gram's house but I'm not calorie counting. I haven't gained any weight since I had the twins but I still have weight I want to drop. Yeah with 3 kids of course I have weight to drop lol. So I'm proud of my 1st offical week. 2lbs a week or 8lbs a month is great.

Struggling with PCOS is hard & losing weight with it is like trying to run up hill with a car on your back. Not very effective ya know. I'm luck enough to know I have PCOS, take meds to help it & know what works with my body. So this should be easier this time around.....I hope anyway. Some one needs to make a "magic pill" for PCOS. They would make millions!

Moving on.....lol

Kids are doing well. Celi is getting up on her knees and rocking. So she should be crawling VERY soon. Well unless she's like Nevy & decides rolling every where is better. Nevy WOULD'NT crawl until 9 months. I say "wouldn't" instead of "couldn't" b/c she knew how she just didn't want to do it. Stubborn to the core that Nevy....wonder where is comes from.....Hummmm....:P

Ari's therapist (OT) said we should have her crawling in about 2 months. Which since the girls get a 1 months adjustment for EVERYTHING (being pre-term babies). They are really only 6 months & not 7 months. So they are doing VERY Well. I'm very proud of Ari she is rolling in both directions now. Which considering where she was is awesome!

Nevy's potty training is getting a LOT better. She doesn't use diapers at all during the day unless we are out at the store. She doesn't like public bathrooms....cant blame her neither do I. Though most of the time she stays dry until we get home I put them on as a "back up". She stays dry all night but usually goes pee pee in the morning before I can get her to the potty since I'm busy feeding the twins & stuff. She is pooping more often on the potty but still doesn't go all the time. I'm very proud of her she is picking up on this fast.

Well I'm off to make dinner....tacos sound good. Yes tacos CAN be healthy! Corn tortillas are better for you then bread! So nah! :P
Once again I'm actually well aware of the fact that I'm a dork....so leave it alone. lol

Alien or Normal? Hummmm....

There are days that I blink & these kids grow. No, really I swear they do! They are just getting so big so fast. Everyday it's something new. Maybe it's b/c there are 3 of them & one or the other is always doing something to get my attention or maybe they are really aliens that grow super fast. Either way, normal or alien I love them! lol

Anyway....

I love this age with the twins. Sort of mobile yet still like to cuddle. The girls are doing very well. Araceli LOVES anything soild....well except green foods. Go figure right? lol. Her new favorite are those new weird looking baby rice cakes. They remind me of the surf board looking salt beak files for birds lmao! Really thats what they look like! It makes me feel like I'm giving my kid bird food but hey she LOVES them. I actually like them as well b/c they dissolve really easy. So she can eat them even before she is ready for puffs/cereal. Dr. gave us the go for biscuits but I hate those things. So Celi is now 15lbs 6oz (40th %tile) & 25 3/4 inches. She is FINALLY filling out. She also started the Dada song today. You know when they first start to say Dada but they really dont mean Dada they just like the word. So she sits around sings Dada dada daaaada dadadada. lol I cant wait for the Mamas!

Little miss chubby girl is now 14lbs 4.5oz (25 %tile) & 25 1/4 inches. She is a little smaller but you can't tell by looking at her with those chubby cheeks! Ari is doing soooo much better. She is starting to lift up while laying on her tummy & can roll both ways. She is grabbing at things now & even likes to "talk" to everyone. She loves to "blah blah" us to death in the car. She usually scream at us to get our attention & then laughs when you look at her. It's to cute really.

Nevy is full of DRAMA as usual. If her panties aren't disney princess or Dora she takes them off & hides them. I found 4 pairs of panties under her bed! Good thing princess pants/Dora are easy to find! Her potty training is going great. She hasn't had any pee pee accidents is awhile & will even go potty at other peoples house. We haven't tried public bathrooms yet though. We are still working on poops though. Sometimes she goes & other times she wont. I guess I just keep trying until she does it all the time. She is now 30lbs (50th %tile) & 37 1/2 inches. She is such a funny kid & comes up with weird stuff. Like today she told us that if we put the ballon around her wrist she would fly away. I guess she watches the movie "UP" to much lol.

As for us well it's the usual. Nothing new really. I'm getting better & Jose is getting sicker lol. He finally caught our cold. I've been putting a LOT of thought into either going back to school or getting a part-time job. I need to get out of the house. I'm going crazy without adult contact all day. Nevy needs to get into some type of class setting anyway though I don't know what I'll do with the twins b/c I hate the idea of daycare when they are this young. A nanny is a little high priced with TWO infants....I should know I was one & I'd charge about $15-18 an hour for twins....so yeah not sure about the details yet but we will figure it out.

Well I'm off to bed. Kids have pictures tomorrow....about time! Well if the kids dont tie me up & put me in a closet...stick around for my next post b/c God only knows what will happen next with these alien kids! lol

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://double-trouble-triple-fun.blogspot.com/2010/06/alien-or-normal-hummmm.html' title='Alien or Normal? I feel like CRAP! I am soooo sick. The twins are sick as well but of course Nevy & Jose have been skipped.....for now anyway. So I'm dealing with my own cold, two sick babies & a rowdy toddler. Oh the F-U-N!...not!

On to brighter thoughts...

Arianna rolled over this week. I'm so proud of my baby. She is getting so much better & catching up to Celi. A fast weight check and she was 13lbs 13oz. Not sure of the %tile but we have a Dr.'s appt next week. So I'll know more then.

Araceli is sitting up for a lot longer now before falling over. She did about 2 mins the other day. She is such a ham. Whenever Nevy laughs she cracks up. It's so cute. She is now 14lbs 15oz.

Nevaeh has gone pee pee on the potty all week & has not had an accident in 5 days. No matter what I do she wont poop on it though. I guess we just have to keep trying. If she keeps up the good work we will be going to the zoo soon! :)

Things are going to be crazy the next 2 months for us. We have 3 baptism parties, 4 family parties & Nevy's 3rd birthday at the end of July. yeah crazy crazy. lol So I maybe MIA for a little while. I will keep everyone posted as I can though.

Just can't believe my baby is going to be 3! Time is flying!!

Have some summer fun & be safe!

More...more....REALLY??

Sometimes I sit here rubbing my tummy and missing the kicks. I miss that special feeling of knowing I'm caring for something in a way no one else can. I miss the excitement of waiting for the day to come when I get to look in the eyes of my baby/ies for the first time.

Yeah where the hell did that come from? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! lmao...WOW let me catch my breath.....wooooh.

No really though I do miss my pregnancies. I mean really how could I not after EVERYTHING we went through. People have NO IDEA what it feels like to be "infertile" unless YOU are. Not your brothers wife, cousins sister, uncle sisters friend or your dog. Unless its YOU and your spouse personally you have NO IDEA what it's like. Words can't explain that helpless feeling. Where there are days you wish for a miscarriage just to know you CAN get pregnant. Days you cry for hours not just because of the sadness but because you are on a hormonal cocktail that puts PMS & Menopause to shame. Days that turn into weeks, months.....years. That truly doesn't even skim the surface of infertility.

To feel this way, to think you may NEVER hold your own child, well it breaks you in aways. A way that can't be explained. A way that only others who have this tattoo on there hearts as well know. To think that I would never see a child with my lips & Jose's unruly curls. It was enough to kill me inside for years. Of course during it all I had on the "happy yet secretly want to kill you" face. Which again unless you've been there you have no idea. The face you put on when a friend says they are expecting after being with a guy for 3 months. The face you put on when you go to other peoples baby showers or births. That "face" it stays with you. A scar forever b/c you can truly never be happy when you can't have what is SUPPOSED to come naturally to EVERY women. The one thing we were SUPPOSED to be MADE for.

So what were broken? Why can't we be fixed then? Are us "infertile" women that old car that sits in the garage b/c know one can seem to make it run right? No no. NO! We are the select few that are made STRONGER b/c of what we are FORCED to go through. We are made from a different mold you see. A mold that can NOT be broken. We are the women who dont let anything take us down. We WILL pee on that damn stick 1,000 times until a second line shows up! We will buy $500 worth of sticks off the internet b/c what if your afternoon urine is stronger or what if the first was a dud? We will NOT give up b/c we want what is our RIGHT to have. We want what comes to the rest of you so easily. We want what you don't think twice about & b/c of this there is NOTHING like the love of an "infertile" mother. NOTHING! You'll never understand unless YOU have been there. You'll never get the obsession. The drive that keeps us taking pills, attacking our husbands when the OPK is +, poking ourselves with needles & peeing on anything that could tell us something we don't already know.

This is the drive. The drive I felt for way to long. So how do I turn it off? How do I shut down that part of my brain that has pushed me to get what I though I would never have. The answer is I can't. I will always miss being pregnant. I'll always miss the kicks but I'm stronger for that weakness. It gives me compassion that others dont understand. I have NO shame in being "infertile". I'm proud to have been one of the lucky few to hold my children and I know that when I see another person who is part of the "club" a simple "I've been there too" is enough to comfort. That makes me stronger. That makes me special not different. It makes me understand things other dont. It makes me who I am today.....the women who STRUGGLED for years to become pregnant & finally did. One of the lucky ones. One of the few. So the next time you talk to an "infertile" person please dont pity them b/c they have something you dont.... a special tattoo over there hearts, a place in a club where they are made stronger and a love that will know no boundaries.

So when people ask me if we want more kids I may say no but that special tattoo always gives me a little flutter & I have to remind myself that there is always room for more. It may not be any time soon but how could I let my fellow club members down & close a door that was nearly sealed shut at one point. So to all of you that ask.....No I may not want any more kids now but I will always want more later.

Infertility is not a disease or cruse it is merely a test of the strongest among us. A test we may not pass but will always benefit from. So please don't pity us b/c we are better then that.

I LUB my girls!

Things have FINALLY calmed down! We moved into the new house & can I say I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED! lol

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new house! I didn't realize how much I missed having a kitchen. I've been cooking like a crazy person all week. Jose has missed my food so much. My gram can cook. Actually she is an AWESOME cook but she is old school. She likes to add the fat & bad for you stuff which is why the food is sooooo good lol! I dont cook like that.

We dont eat enriched white flour products mostly b/c of Nevy getting sick from it but also b/c wheat is better for you. I don't know how I did it but I didn't gain a pound the whole time we lived there (7.5 months). Well I did gain I was pregnant with twins! Hello! lol but I gained 13lbs while pregnant and lost all of it plus another 10lbs & my weight hasn't changed since then which puts me below my pre-pregnancy weight. Now that I get to eat the way I like to I'm sure I'll start losing again. It just feels so good to eat brown or wild rice again instead of Mac & cheese lol.

I'm so PROUD of Nevy! She went the whole day without an accident! She even took a nap & didn't have one! She's so close to being fully potty trained if I could just get her to poop on the potty! We have been letting her do it on her own time which has taken 8 months but hey why rush. I think her new interest in the potty has to do with me telling her she could go to the zoo if she went a whole week without using a diaper or having an accident. She is really trying VERY hard b/c she wants to see the "teddy" bears & "munkeys" lol. I love her made up words! :)

The Twins are officially half a year old! OMG where did the time go??

Arianna seems to be doing better. I've been doing a lot of the exercises the therapist showed me & she seems to be able to hold her head up longer. She now has to spend 10-15 mins. EVERY hour she is up on her tummy. She really hates tummy time. SO much in fact that she all most rolled over to get off her tummy. To see her come so close to a goal that I though was still months away made me cry. She seems so far behind Celi due to her muscle issues. So to see her catching up is awesome! I love my chubby girl sooooo much!

My silly Celi is a little brat as usual lol. We went to a family party Sunday & I was sitting at the table talking and eating crackers off a tray. Well Ms. Araceli decided she wanted a cracker to. So when Mommy wasnt looking she grabbed one & starting chomping on it lol! She ate the entire cracker! Then wanted another one! She is such a piggy. She now eats two 4oz jars of baby food for lunch plus a 4oz bottle. She really is a PIG but I lover her to pieces! She can almost sit up totally unassisted. There are times when she leans to far and cant catch herself before tipping over but she is doing very well. She also scoots with her head on the ground and her butt in the air. It's so funny! I swear she will have rug burn on her forehead soon but she is learning to crawl in her own way I guess.

Well I guess thats it. The kids have all adjusted very well to the new house though I found Nevy sleeping UNDER my bed this morning lol. She has been sleeping in her new room without any trouble all week. So I'm not sure why she did that. I guess I need to get another baby gate.

Well I'm off to make dinner & see Shrek tonight! Nevy has been waiting for weeks to see it but it came out the weekend of the twins baptism. So she has had to wait. She is super excited! Until next time! :) Enjoy your summer everyone!

Blah Blah Blah....yeah lol

It's been a really long week. I'm sorry it's taken so long to post again. The days just seem to fly by.

I'm happy to say we pulled off the Twins Baptism without any problems. Everything went great & the girls got TONS of clothes! Which were soooooo needed! So THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCH! The kids really enjoyed the party as well. Nevy spent most of the day in the air jump jump lol. They were so tired they slept until 11am the next day. Yeah I was shocked!

I can't believe the twins will be turing 6 months in a week! Half a year ALREADY! It's crazy to think about. I do miss them being little but then again I love them at this age. The are up most of the day & love to laugh. They are such silly kids. When I lay them down at night next to each other they will hold hands and "talk" to each other until they fall alseep or some times they will pull each others hair until one cries lol! I love seeing them interact. It's so darn cute. My favorite is when they just look at each other & smile back and forth.

Well Arianna will be starting physical therapy next week. Easter seals came out & her neck & back muscles rate at the 1-2 month old mark. She has over all low muscle tone but her neck it the worst. She cant hold it up long and gets tired very easy. It's times like that when I really regret them being twins. I love my girls but if I had to do it all over again I probably would have only put one embryo in at a time. Since we had lost Nevy's twin early on I was scared that if we only did one I would miscarry it but my girls are strong & both stuck around. With Ari being twin A she was on the bottom which means Celi was sitting on her most of the time. She was always in a weird breech position which might be why she never developed enough muscle tone. I'm just happy she is getting help now. I hate seeing the gap between them grow so fast.

Araceli is my rock star! lol She is just a funny baby! She laughs for NO reason at all! She sits there and cracks up at herself. She loves to talk (yes she's her Mama's baby!). She now tries to get her kness up under her while doing tummy time. I think she is going to be crawling in the next month or so. She can be so stubborn though (yes truly a Mama's girl lol)she hardly ever rolls anymore b/c she knows I want her too! She such a brat sometimes! She really loves her sisters. I can tell she will be the "care giver" of my kids. If Ari or Nevy cry she will stick out her bottom lip & start crying with them. If Ari is laying by her she'll even try reaching out to touch her face like saying "it's ok sis I'm here". It's just heart breaking to see her do that. It's so sweet!

Nevy is getting SO excited about the new house. I think she's reached her end with living with my grandparents. Dont get me wrong they are so good to her but they are getting old and cant tolerate as much as they use to. So a lot of stuff I let slide they dont & she gets mad at them lol. Yeah she's a spoiled 1st what can I say. Every time we come home she asks "Can we go to the new house? I want to go in Nevy's room!" I feel so bad b/c I know she wants to have her own space again. We have been waiting on our final permit which we should have Monday. I'm hoping to live there Monday night! Which I just realized is tomorrow lol. Ya I know I'm slow sometimes.

As for me.... I saw my REI wed. & the game plan is what I though it would be....a statin, metformin & birth control. I hope this is the 3 punch my PCOS needs to get under control. I do have to go in for some more blood tests this Wed. before we start the treatment & I also have an ultrasound on my liver that day but we are pretty sure everything is fine. I cant wait for everything to be under control so I can start to drop some more weight. I stopped a few months ago when I was having issues with my Iron, breastfeeding & liver problems b/c I didnt know if that was making it worse. When I stopped I did get a bump in my supply for awhile. So I think it was effecting that. Though it no longer matters b/c I did stop breastfeeding a few weeks ago. My suppy was really going bye bye and I could not keep taking Reglan to keep up with it. So I decided to stop. I'm proud that I made it to 5 months though. Thats longer then I did with Nevy.

Ok well I'm off to finish packing our last few things & help Jose start moving them next door. It's going to be so nice to have a house to ourselves again....yet it's a little scary to finally be alone with all 3 kids.....GOD SAVE ME! lol

Well until next time!

Everything happens for a reason

Well where in the heck do I start? I feel like it's been months since I posted a new blog & it's only been a few weeks!

So I haven't been feeling to well. Very tired & just out of energy. You're probably thinking well with 3 under 3 you should be tired! lol It's worse then that. I'm sleeping like 10hrs a night & still cant get my butt out of bed. I figured it's my thyroid again & my meds need to be adjuested. I had an Ob/gyn appt a few weeks ago & I finally got my test results last week. My liver function is high along with my vitamin D level being really really low. My ob/gyn said to get in with my regular Dr. ASAP b/c she was worried about my liver function. Well after talking to my Dr. friday she figures its my PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.. yeah its a mouth full lol). PCOS effects EVERYTHING in your life. It actually becoming VERY common in women of reproductive age. I've known about it since I was 14 years old & my Dr. told me.

I've struggled with it my whole life. From battling with weight issues (due to insulin resistance caused by the PCOS), to infertility (caused by the insulin resistance stopping me from ovulating) to hormone issues, to gestaional diabetes, to pre-eclampsia (high BP during pregnancy), even breastfeeding & now to liver issues. Can you belive that one little thing screwing up one hormone can throw your entire body out of whack? Their is no "magic pill". There is pretty much nothing you can do about it. Sure there are all kinds of fun things you can take to help or cover up the issues but there is nothing to cure it or really lower your risk for heart problems, infertility, obesity, type 2 diabetes & liver issues (thats not even the half of risks!).

Anyway we ran a few tests & I have an ultrasound of my liver at the end of the month. I just hate PCOS. It seems like everytime I "think" things are ok it bites me in the butt. As of right now my liver function is only slightly high which means I'm ok but that we need to keep an eye on things in the future. I see my REI (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist)next week. Dr. Morris (www.IVF1.com) is awesome. He is the reason I have my 3 little princesses! He is also one of the only Dr.'s I trust enough to help treat my PCOS. So I guess we are finally going to have a game plan to treat things that doesnt involve fertility drugs lol. Most likely it will be a birth control pill (to treat the messed up hormones), a statin (helps my liver function & lower cholesterol which is also elevated thanks to PCOS) & Metformin to treat the insulin resistance. Then add my thyroid meds, extra vitamin D I now have to take & a regular vitamin & yeah I'll be a walking pharmacy but at least I'll feel better & be healthier.

As someone I know once said...

PCOS is like cancer, except there is no treatment & it eats away at your body for the rest of your life.

Great right?....not!

Anyway enough dark talk...

The house is finished!! woo hoo! We moved about half of our stuff in & it looks great! I still have a TON to do but it's pretty much ready for the party. We probably wont move in until after the party since I have to make everything child proof first.

The kids are all doing great. Celi is getting better & better at sitting up. Ari is going to be starting physical thearpy soon for her muscles. Easter seals is doing a final check on her but we are almost 100% sure she needs it. Her tone is getting better but still no where near it should be. Down side to being a twin :(
Nevy is peachy as always. She was so happy to decorate her new room with princess stickers!lol They are all over but it's her room so I let her have fun.

Well it's a busy week with the twins Baptism this weekend. So I'm off to clean more things & get ready. Not sure when I'll have time to post again but as always I'll keep you up to date! :)

5 months....You got to be JOKING!

The twins turn 5 months on Friday. WHAT!!!....for real? Your joking right?...

NOPE! lol

I can not believe these two little peanuts are going to be almost half a year old. I have no idea where the last few months went. I still feel like I had them last week!

They are doing really well. Eating about 27-30oz a day plus SOLIDS!! yay! We started veggies 2 weeks ago. Celi loves sweet potatos & squash. She is so-so on carrots. I really have not given much to Ari b/c she still doesnt seem ready for soilds. Celi was giving all the cues & is right on target for development & for sitting up. Ari still gets cereal by spoon though. She is getting better. She just needs more time. We have Easter Seals coming out to take a look at her. She is still having issues with the muscles in her neck. She cant seem to keep her head up for long & may need a little physical therapy. It just the down side to twins. She didnt have much room to move and build her muscles up. Other that that she is doing great. They both smile, talk, laugh, giggle & all the other great stuff. Celi can sit support & unsupported (for about 30sec before tipping over. TIMBERRRRRR lol).

Nevy is getting so much better at talking everyday. She repeats everything...even commercials on TV! lol If I hear the $5 footlong song one more time I'll.......yeah anyway lol. She just loves her sisters so much. :)

The house is DONE!! WOOT WOOT! Final inspections are done this week & if all goes well we can move in Tuesday! It's ABOUT TIME! lol

Well thats it for now. I need to go to bed. I'm so tired. I had a Dr.'s appt today with Dr. V. (the one who delivered the twins). She said everything looks great. My scar healed very well & I have a years supply of Yasmin (birth control) now!! YAY FOR NO MORE KIDS! lol yeah I'm a dork but I'd so die if I got pregnant again this soom. 3 under 3 is enough to last me a long long long long long long long.....LONG time!

Spring has Sprung!

Well all the kids are doing great.

The Twins had an appt. Monday & other then having some small issues with reflux they look good.

Arianna- Ari is now 12lbs even(10th %tile). She is 23 3/8 inches tall (10th %tile) & her head is 15 3/4 inches (10th %tile). Adjusted back a month puts her in the perfect 50th %tile which is great. Ari is getting better at holding her head up though she is still having issues. One of the down sides of being a twins is sharing space in the womb which can cause issues with muscle tone. She is not as strong as Celi but she is getting there. She is also starting to giggle & talk more. She seems happier but is still stuggling at night with feedings. She is even starting to stand more.

Araceli- Celi is now 12lbs 12oz (20th %tile). She is 24 inches tall (25th %tile) & her head is 15 3/4 inches (10th %tile). Adjusted back a month Celi is closer to the 65th %tile which is awesome! Celi is still right on target. She can sit supported & unsupported for a short time before falling over. She now screams like Tarzan lol when she wants your attention. It's really funny. Not so funny in a resturant but still funny lol. According to the Dr. she is ready to start solids whenever I want but since Ari is not ready I may hold off another month to give Ari some time to catch up. I've been spoon feeding them cereal & they seem to enjoy it.

Nevaeh- Nevy is still her usual pain in the butt self lol. Her new thing is telling you "I'm mad at you" when she doesnt get her own way. Not that it effects anyone to give into her but she thinks it will help lol. She is getting so big & some days I cant believe the things she says & understands. She talks in full sentances & is pretty clear most of the time. She has her 3 year check up in June though she wont turn 3 until July but I had all the kids appt. put together.

As for the house we have about one more week until it's done! Painting is going on next week & a few odds & ends but other then that my house is done! My stove, dishwaser and over the range microwave are coming today. So all that is left is paint! I'm soooooo excited! Nevy is too. She keeps asking when her house will be ready.

Ok thats it for now. Not sure when I'll post again since moving is right around the corner (hope for it anyway) but I'll keep everyone posted! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Almost 4 months!

I can't believe the Twins are almost 4 months old! They are getting so big. I can't wait for their Dr.'s appt on the 12th to see how much they gained.

Well for my usual update:

Arianna is doing pretty good. We still have issues with her last feeding of the night but she does great during the day. She is getting better at holding her head up though she still wont roll over. She likes to "talk" (goo and gah)and smiles all the time. She found her hands a few weeks ago and likes to chew on them now lol. She does need her month adjustment for being preemie still but she is getting better everyday! She is eating between 4-5.5oz at every feeding. About (25-27oz a day). I love her chubby little cheeks! I just want to pinch them! lol

Araceli is doing great! Her reflux is under control. She eats like a little piggy (5-6oz). About 25-30oz a day. She also likes to talk and smile. She can sit and stand (supported of course). She has great head control and loves to grab at things. She can roll from tummy to back and is pretty much right on track for a 4 month old. She is such a happy baby!

Both of the girls HATE tummy time (due to the reflux) but are getting better at pushing up and rolling. We MAY start to spoon feed rice cereal in a few weeks but I'm holding out on solids until 5-6 months (which your supposed to do anyway). All in all the girls are doing really well.

Nevy is doing great too! She is her usual bouncy self. She is getting really good at counting & likes to repeat EVERY thing! lol

As for house news:

The drywall is done! yay! Next is the bathroom tile, floors, cabinets and painting. The house should be done right after Easter! I CANT WAIT! lol

As for me...Well I'm still mad about things that happened (see last post) but I guess I just needed a time out from certain people. It's been 3 weeks since I've seen them and I think the time away is really helping me to deal with my anger towards them. That and the fact that they can't add fuel to the fire.

Anyway I guess thats it for now. I'm hoping to update more often but with the move back home so close it may not be possible. I'll try though! :)

Another year..

Wow I am sooooo glad my birthday is over. It was one very very long weekend and of course as I knew would happen...full of DRAMA! Though I'm sure there is more to come. I'm at the point where I dont even want to celebrate my brithday anymore becuase all it ends up doing is making more drama for me. My poor hubby always gets stuck in the middle but I know he tries to make it special for me.

This year I picked the Cheesecake Factory because come on what girl doesn't LOVE cheesecake? lol

Things went great and I love my hubby so much for giving me that special time even if it only lasted during dinner. It was still great to have that few hour moment where everything was going right. He really is such a sweetheart and I am soooo lucky to have a wonderful husband.

I know some of you are wondering what the hell is she talking about and trust me I would love to spill all the details to you but that is not what this blog is about. I'm not going to name names, point fingers and bitch certain people out. I'm not like that. You know who you are and you know what you did and that is that.

Every year its the same shit and I'm sick of it. How would you feel if people forgot your birthday? How would you feel if "people" didnt even care that it was your birthday? How would you feel if these people were supposed to be YOUR FAMILY? Crappy right? Well try that every year. Sucks right? Well welcome to my personal hell and the reason I hate my birthday. It's all because a certain someones birthday is close to mine and everyone is busy making sure that person has a great birthday and totally forget about me. Even though I celebrate each of their birthdays every year and go out of my way to buy nice gifts and think of them. Yet every year I get a slap in the face when my time rolls around.

So you might ask why Jenny? Why are you so nice when "others" are so mean? because thats who I am. I care and I love my husband more then anything in the world and I would never hurt him and by treating certain "others" wrong it would hurt him. So every year I put my fake smile on and celebrate for everyone BUT me. Just because I love my husband and would never ask him to be stuck in the middle. I know he would do the same for me though I pray I would never have to.

Well now that most of the drama has past I can ALMOST move on with my life until next year anyway. Sorry for those of you that have NO idea what I'm talking about. This is my venting place and well I need to vent. So excuse the crazy whine it's more for me to get things off my chest then to ammuse people.lol

They grow to fast!

I can't believe the Twins are almost 3 months old! Wow where did the time go?

So for my usual update:

The girls are doing great on the Prevacid tabs. MUCH MUCH better then before. It's nice to have normal "happy" babies again. They both smile and coo at everything now. Before all they did was cry from pain. Celi can now roll over from tummy to back (yes she decided to do it the hard way first lol). She will scoot sideways until her feet are against her sister and then she will push of Ari and flip over. It's so funny and poor Ari lets her do it! Poor Ari just gets walked all over lol. Ari can almost flip from back to front but she is still working on it. I guess she still needs that 1 month adjustment for being preemie which is ok with Mommy. I don't want them to grow up TO fast!

Celi is starting to "attempt" to laugh. I say "attempt" b/c she sounds like a pigeon! lmao Really think of a pigeon sound. That rolling your toungue coo sound. Well thats her laugh. It's just to funny. I have to get it on video because when you make the sound back she gets all excited and does it again. lol

Ari is in LOVE with....HERSELF! lol She will just watch herself in the mirror all day. She even "talks" to the mirror. It is just to cute.

I really can't believe how big they are! Before I know it they will be walking around. I bought them both a Bumbo chair and they love to sit in it and watch everyone.

On to Nevy...

Amy & Chase (my friend Amy's son who is exactly 1 month younger then Nevy)came to visit this week. Nevy pretty much grew up with him since we try to get them together for playdates every few months. I decided to flip back through so old photos of them growing up (I'll post them at the end). They just got to big! It was funny watching them talk to each other and fight over toys. Chase had a thing for Nevy's princess...uh I mean..."King crown" (no matter what you call it Amy it still had pink diamonds on it lol). Thats ok Nevy has a love for cars. She's my tomboy.

As for the house. Things were a little crazy this week. So the brick is on hold until Monday. The plumbing is done and the water in now running yay! The gas is supposed to be turned on by Tuesday and the electric should be done next week as well. I also went cabinet shopping. Yeah that was as fun as poking myself in the eye. Sorry they all look the same but different colors. I really dont care what my cabinets look like just as long as they can stand a beating from 3 toddlers lol.

So it's been a very busy week. Next week is even worse...DUM....DUM....DUM......it's my 25TH BITHDAY AHHHHHHHHHHH (on the 6th)! lol no really it's bad. I hate my birthdays. WHY might you ask? Well if you know me well then you know who else's birthday is right by mine and you know the drama I go through every year. So same shit different year I guess. Oh well maybe I'll go out and get drunk. That might make it a better one! (Pisst Amy.... Casino + drinks = happy Jenny! lol)

Well thats all peps! Tune in...uh...well whenever I get a chance to post again...for more drama and a little dose of "What kind of HELL my birthday was this year"!

Nevy & Chase over the years....

3 months:

6 months:

12 months:

15 months:

18 months:

20 months:

2 years:

2.5 years:(yesterday)

gDiaper 101

I've had a few people ask me about the Twins gdiapers. So I decided to let you in on this AWESOME new thing in the world of diapers!

How would you like a diaper that is the BEST of both worlds? Something that is cheap, easy, re-useable, can help the environment and you DONT have to touch poop if you dont want to!!

So what is a "gDiaper"? Well it looks like a regular disposable from the outside. It has velcro closures and an elastic top BUT comes in awesome colors lol! The secret is the inside which is made of a plastic liner that snaps in. You can place either cloth or one of gDiapers biodegradable inserts inside. When baby goes pee pee just remove the insert or cloth and replace. When baby poops just un-snap the liner and toss or flush the insert or place the cloth in your diaper cleaning bin then snap in a new liner and insert. VERY VERY EASY! Even Nevy can do it!

We use cloth at home and inserts on the go. Since the inserts are biodegradable they dont hurt the environment.

Cloth & Poop: yes babies poop (really!). So what happens when you go cloth and baby poops. Well that depends on what you feed them. Breastmilk or Hypoallergenic formula: right into the diaper bin and right into the washer machine (yep you dont have to touch it!) Since breastfed babies poop in runny there is no need to "rinse" the diaper. Everything comes out in the wash...EVERYTHING and yes your washer is clean too! Formula: just use a baby wipe to remove the waste and toss. Then wash the cloth as normal in the washer.

DONT WANT TO TOUCH POOP: Use the inserts and toss them or flush down the toilet! It's that easy!

Yeah how mush is it? Well start up is a little more but in the long run its WAY cheaper. A gpant is about $10-16 each you need at least 4. Cloth inserts or (as I use) cloth prefolds (I get mine form little lions) run $10.50 per dozen (2 dozen per baby last 2-3 days until wash day) depending on how many you use. It cost us $147.00 for the twins. I have 10 gpants (everyone comes with a plastic line) plus 7 extra liners and 4 dozen prefolds. In 1 month I spent $200 on Pampers. So ya we saved in a month. Plus I have twins and with a singleton it would be cheaper. The inserts do cost a tiny more then regular diapers. About 5-10 cents more per diaper.

Want to know more? Go to www.gDiapers.com and learn! Watch the video on how to flush an insert and how to use them. Trust me its the BEST thing you will EVER learn.

So why fill landfills with millions of diapers when you can have the best of disposables and cloth in ONE DIAPER!!!

Yes the "g" goes on the back.

Chocolate covered starwberries!

Wow time sure does fly with 3 girls under 3 years old! I can't believe I haven't posted a new blog in 2 WEEKS! (eek!)

Well then lets get down to it! :)

The twins had a Dr.'s appt last week. They are now 9lbs 8.5oz each! Arianna is 21 1/4inches and Araceli is 21 1/2 inches. That puts them in the 10th% tile for both weight & height but adjusted for their age that is actually the 55th %tile. They are now on the Prevacid tabs instead of the liquid compound which is making a HUGE difference with their reflux. They are doing so well they kill 4-5oz bottles at 11pm and sleep until 8-9am. It is sooooo wonderful to get a staright 8-9hrs most nights. They were pretty crabby though for 3 days after their shots.

They are getting so chubby! lol

Nevy is doing very well too. She has been going pee pee on the potty most of the time (still wont poop on it though). We are letting her set the pace for potty training. She has been going pee pee on it since 18 months but she still has days with accidents. So we keep her in diapers just in case. I can't believe how well she is doing. She talks so much now. Sometimes I can't believe how well she says hard words. It's amazing to watch her grow up. I can't wait for the twins to start talking. :)

Well we had a wonderful V-day. Jose bought Nevy & I an edible arrangement of chocolate covered stawberried, pineapple, bannas, oranges and grapes.....uh GOD it was soooo good! I think we ate all 30 strawberries already lol. Then we took the kids to the Rain Forest Cafe. Nevy LOVES it there. We also bought the twins there 1st Rain Forest shirts and Nevy got a baby monkey that talks and sucks a pacifier. It was the perfect V-day.

We also stopped at Babies R Us for a play gym for the Twins. They like it a lot. Ari can't stop checking herself out in the mirror and Celi loves the light up world that plays music. I'm waiting for their Bumbo's to come in the mail this week too.

Well Mindy's (Jose's brother Alex baby mama) shower is coming up. I still can't believe little Alex is going to be a Dad. Yeah I know he is 21 and not a baby but I remember watching him as kid when Jose and I first started dating. He was only 11 then! And the lucky little shit is the only one having a BOY! Damn him! lol Jose's mom has all granddaughters except Alex's baby who by the way is due on my birthday (March 6th!). So of course it's making Jose die to have more kids so he can have a boy too. I swear the man is nuts if he thinks I'm having anymore kids anytime soon. lol

Well thats it for now. It's been the perfect week of sleep, chocolate covered stawberries and of course lots of time with my family! :)

Shoping & Sleep! What's better? :)

The last two weeks have been a little crazy. So stay with me as I try to recap....

We went to pick out our new furniture for the new house. Ashley Furniture had that sale were you get a free 42" HDTV and I wanted to check it out. So we get there and I picked out a bedroom set and front room set I liked (so I would get 2 free TVs). After we are all ready to check out the chick tells me I have to have the furniture delivered in 60 days to get the free TVs. I asked her like 10 times if we can do delayed shipping b/c the house is still being built but I didnt want to miss out on the deal. She kept saying "It's not a problem we keep it in the warehouse for free." Well Best Buy only gives you 60 days to have it delivered (you need the delivery slip to pick up the TVs. So I was about to walk out when the manager offers us 20%off. Thats $1,000 off my order of close to $5,000. So with that I picked out a nicer bedroom set, added the chair and a 1/2, lamps, rug, painting and ottamen to the frontroom set and still saved $300! So that was cool. Then Target had the twins $200 cribs on sale for $160 and I bought those. Yeah I've been a busy bee this week lol.

Income tax time makes me happy......and a shopaholic lol.

Anyway, the Twins are doing better on the Prevacid. Still not as good as they could be but a lot better. Arianna had a bump on her jaw by her ear (turns out to be a lump of tissue & fat from birth and will go away in a month or 2)so off to the Ped. we went. She is 8lbs 14oz now and I know Celi is not far behind. This week has been GREAT! The Twins are now sleeping between 7-9hrs a night! So sleep at least! THANK GOD SLEEP AT LAST! lol

Nevy is doing good as well. She is sooooo excited about Sherk 4 coming out in May. I swear she is ShrekCrazy! This kid LOVES Shrek.....and Ice Age lol. Her new favorite thing to say is "My Mommy pumps booby milk for my sisters!" lmao She tells EVERYONE this! It's sooo embarrassing but at least she wont be against breastfeeding and pumping when she has kids. :)

Well as for house news....

Here is the video of the new house so far.

Lots of work to do still. Electric and plumbing is almost done, then we have to pour the cement floor in the basment (been waiting for warmer weather), the drywall and brick. April is still our done date but if things keep moving so well (I doubt it something always happens to set us back a week or two) it might be done sooner. I just want my house already. Nevy needs space to do her own thing and we need space away from her being up our butts 24/7! lol

Ok thats about it this week. Next week the twins have their 2 month check-up. I think they should be around 9lbs by then. I also believe they get 2 or 3 shots each.... :(

Come back for more updates at the same place, probably not the same time next week! lol

FRONT ROOM SET:

BEDROOM SET:

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://double-trouble-triple-fun.blogspot.com/2010/02/shoping-sleep-whats-better.html' title='Shoping & Sleep! A "good" week!

Thats right I FINALLY had a good week!

On Monday I had a total melt down and called the Twins Dr. The Axid was not working anymore (it's very common for it to stop being effective after short use) and I wasn't getting sleep. To top it all off Ari was hardly eating. All she did was take two sucks of the bottle and scream for 20 mins. I was sick of seeing my kids suffer. Of course their Dr. is awesome (Gosh do I love Dr. Starr she is GREAT!) She called in a script for Prevacid which is not easy when dealing with kids under 15lbs (the are both 8lbs 4oz right now). We had to have the med done at a compound pharamcy b/c they need less then half a tablet and dosing is hard when they are that tiny but she pulled it off and the twins started it Monday night.

I have to say there is a difference already though it can take up to a week to see it working at full force. They are happier now then ever. They keep smiling and looking around. Celi has great head control and can already push herself up when laying on her tummy. Ari is not far behind though. The Prevacid helps with their pain but of course dosen't do a thing for the vomiting but as long as they are happy I don't care if I have to wash clothes everyday.

As for the new house. Well with all the snow we had a few weeks ago it put things on hold for awhile but the weather has been so nice the last 2 weeks they have been working like crazy. The sewer system was finished and inspected, then the back fill around the house was done, they started the framing on Monday and have finished the basement and floor. Next comes the sides and roof. Once they finish that the windows and doors will be done. Then the inside work will start (plumbing, electric and drywall). We are still looking at "sometime" in April which doesn't seem so far away anymore. :)

Then to top my week off Jose's W2 came in the mail today which means as soon as Social Security mails me the twins cards (sometime in the next 1-3 weeks) we can file. With 3 kids we are getting a nice chunk back this year but about 90% of it is being used for the new house and the rest is paying off bills....well and maybe a nice dinner at my favorite Brazilian steak house for my b-day thrown in there lol.

All in all it's been a great week. Even Nevy has been good...well as good as a 2 year old can be anyway lol. At the moment all 3 of them are taking a nap. Yeah I should probably lay down too but I have clothes to wash, bottles to clean and food to eat...lol....so away with this Super Mommy until next time!! :) lol

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://double-trouble-triple-fun.blogspot.com/2010/01/finally-good-week.html' title='FINALLY! Lets see....

First off the twins reflux was getting so bad Celi has been vomiting entire feedings (4oz+ bottles). I wash things pretty much all day everyday (I still smell vomit on the bed even after washing everything 3 times. Jose says it's just in my head :insert daydream of smacking him upside the head:). So it was a good thing they had a Dr.'s appt on Monday.

Everything went well. Ari is now 7lbs 6oz, 19 7/8inches and Celi is 7lbs 120z, 20 1/2inches. We have no idea how Celi got bigger then Ari. Arianna eats about 4-6oz more a day then her sister and she sleeps more lol. Guess she just hasn't hit her growth spurt yet. They are both doing great though. Thats over a 2lbs gain for both girls in 4 weeks. However they are STILL under 8lbs which mean we STILL have to avoid young kids and sick people like the plague. :)

Arianna is in the 5th %tile for weight and 5th for height BUT when adjusted for being a preemie she is 35th for weight and 4oth for height.

Araceli is in the 10th %tile for weight and 10th for height BUT when adjusted to being a preemie she is 45th for weight and 50th for height.

The girls wont be caught up to full term babies their age until about 3-4months old. By then they will find a curve and stay with it. Nevy has always been between 45-6oth %tile since she was 3.5 months old (She was also the 5th when born and 10th by 6 week old). The 50th is average. My guess is Ari will be tiny to average and Celi many be slightly over average which is still healthy (anything between 45th- 75th is healthy over that is overweight (depending on the childs height)).

The girls were also given Axid for their reflux. It's like Zantac but a little stronger and it taste better. We are giving it 2 weeks and if it doesnt seem to work we will be going over to Prevacid. So far I'm seeing a 30-50% improvement in their reflux. Celi is still the vomit queen and Ari still has trouble eating. I doubt the Axid will work but anything is better then nothing.

As for Nevy her speech is getting very good! She is such a smart little cookie. We were going to but her in daycare but at the moment it will cost a little much for us. We decided to put her in an advance speech program. It's free through our insurance and will help prepare her for school this Sept. I also think its a better idea then daycare though she only goes a few days a week for like a hour or two. I'm hoping she gets into the program soon. Still waiting to hear back from them.

Well as for me I had my 6 week postapartum check-up. All is back to normal.....well as much as it can be 6 weeks after a twin c-section birth lol. The Dr. gave me the good old "so what kind of birth control do you want?" speech. At the moment I'm breastfeeding thought not fully it's still a very good form of birth control with me having infertility issues and all. So I'm putting off that talk until either my "annual exam" in April or until I stop breastfeeding. She "tried" to talk me into an IUD but that is sooooo not happening (personal reasons). I'll most likely go with the NuvaRing or a low dose pill.

Jose didn't like that conversation b/c of course he wants more kids but I want to enjoy my girls for awhile. I do plan to have all my kids and be done by 30 years old (still have 5 years left). So maybe in 4 years we will have 1 more. Which as long as it's a boy Jose is so on board about no more after that lol hahahaha. Even if it's another girl I'm done lol! The Dr. did say up to a 4th c-section was safe but I'd be pushing it to do more (which I dont plan to go past 3). I will however look into my options of a VBA2C (vaginal birth after 2 c-sections). Not to many Dr.'s do them (got to love Dr's making up risks that are still less then a repeat c-section)but I know a VERY good practice here in Chicago that does them and will be looking into it in the future just to keep my options open. My Dr. wont do them. Not because she wont but b/c the hospital wont allow them. :insert eyeroll:

Ok well that its for now. The kids will be waking up from their naps soon. So I better eat something or I wont see food until 8pm tonight when Jose gets home. lol Which by the way I've lost all 13lbs I gained from pregnancy plus another 17lbs. :) :insert pat on the back: lmao

1 month down....a lifetime to go

Well the twins are a little over 1 month now. They are starting to act like normal newborns. They are awake more often and eating more. They are also going 5-6hrs at night which means... I AM FINALLY GETTING SLEEP AGAIN!!! lol

As for the reflux things are starting to go downhill. I talked to the Dr. last week and we began adding rice cereal to their formula to keep it down. It helps a little but not enough. So we have an appt next Monday and we plan to start Zantac for both of them. If it doesn't work we will be going onto the Prevacid. Even with the reflux the girls are gaining weight. They are taking about 20-25oz in 24hrs which is very good and of course still getting breastmilk on top of that.

Celi is getting better at breastfeeding but Ari seems to not care for it (she is sooo like Nevy lol). I'm still pumping so Ari can get breastmilk as well but the round the clock pumping is getting hard. I'm not sure I can do it much longer. Either way I will still keep breastfeeding as long as Celi is up for it. I'm hoping to get Reglan to increase my supply when I see my Dr. next week.

Nevy has adjusted to her sisters very well. She loves to hold them and kiss them all day. She really is a great sister. I'm so proud of her for not being jealous of the twins or being mean toward them because she is no longer the center of attention. She can be a brat lol dont get me wrong she is 2 after all but she is great when it comes to the twins.

I really feel sorry for Jose. He is going to need a permit to carry a gun when Nevy gets older. lol This little girl dances like a 25 year old professional Latin dancer at a club! She has Shakira hips and as cute as it is I cringe to think of all the little boys that will be after her lol. We caught her on tape at Jose's mothers house on New Years day dancing away and shaking her butt. It's so cute but scary at the same time lol.

Well thats all for now. I'll let everyone know what happens with all our appt.s next week. I doubt I have much to report for myself but I will be having the "How many more c-scetions" chat with the Dr. When I had Nevy I was told 4 would be ok but Dr. V. said I had some scar tissue and we would "talk about it at my 6 week check up". Yeah not something you want to hear after you just gave birth and your kids are in the NICU. My guess is she would say 1 more and thats it which I'm ok with but I don't think Jose will be since he wants a damn football team of kids lol but we will deal with it when we have all the info.

Ok I'm off to clean bottles, wash clothes and feed kids. Stay tuned for next week. :)

All 3 girls nice and clean after bathtime.

Celi & Ari on New Years

4 weeks....already?!

Well it's been 4 weeks since the twins were born. Wow....really? lol Guess time is flying. My days are counted in 3hr shifts so they just seem to fly on by.

Christmas was very nice. All 3 girls got a TON of clothes and of course Great Grandma bought Nevy way more toys then she knows what to do with lol. Nevy is no longer a (as she calls it) "happy cake" lover but thanks to Christmas and Grandma making 4 different pies she is a "happy pie" lover...lmao. That kid ate more pie then dinner and she was up until midnight because of it but Christmas comes once a year. So I let her go pie crazy.

The twins are doing wonderful. They are now eating about 20-22oz in 24hrs. They are eating about 3-4oz at every feeding. Celi is really packing the pounds on. For a while she was a little smaller then Ari but I'm starting to think she weighs more now.....chubby monkey! My guess buts them both in the low 7lbs range by now. They are fitting in newborn clothes and have grown out of most of the preemie stuff. Their reflux is still here and I'm waiting for the Pedi. to call me back with what we do next. Rice cereal is usually the next step with some Zantac but with the family history Nevy has we may skip the Zantac and just do Prevacid. I really want this treated early because I know Nevy's reflux started to get worse around the 6-8 week mark and it went downhill from there.

On a lighter note the girls due date was yesterday and they are offically "Newborns". They are really filling out and no longer look like peanuts lol. Nevy still loves to kiss them and help out. We are hoping to get back to potty training as soon as I have a little time. She was almost fully potty trained before I was put on bedrest but with me being on bedrest and the hospital stays and the twins birth it was screwed up. So back to square one and we start over again. She's a faster learner so I doubt it will take long. I just need the time. Jose gets two more weeks of vacation after the New Year. So maybe he can take a few days off so I can work with her. We are already eyeball high in diapers so it's not like potty training will be a relief for us lol.

Well I'm off to wait for the Pedi. to call back. So HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE and I hope this next year is as blessed for us as this one was! :)

Enjoy some X-mas pics....

Arianna, Nevaeh & Araceli

Arianna & Nevaeh

Araceli & Nevaeh

Arianna & Araceli

Nevaeh

Nevy kissing Celi

Nevy kissing Ari

3rd week home.

Well things seem to final be calming down around here. Jose went back to work yesterday and I was surprised at how well I did on my first day "alone". The twins pretty much sleep all the time but that is because they are preemies and don't have much energy. Nevy is slowly getting back to her old naptime/bedtime routine which allows me 1.5hrs of "me time".

Now "Jose time" doesn't exist at the moment lol because by the time he gets home from work (6-7pm) the twins are ready for their 8pm bottles and then I get everyone ready for bed and I'm sleeping by 9:30-10pm to be ready for the 4am feeding (Jose does the 11pm one). So I hardly see him right now which sucks but once things calm down at work and he gets days off again it will be easier.

The girls are going about 4.5-5hrs at night between feedings. Which is allowing me some sleep (yay!) but after that one stretch of time I HAVE to wake them every 3hrs to feed (preemies will sleep through feedings). Having 5hrs is better then nothing! lol They are now up to about 3oz bottles of either breastmilk or formula which is about 10-11oz in 24hrs. Exactly where they should be! My guess is they are a little over 6lbs now.

It also looks like they have the same milk/soy protein allergy Nevy did. Celi is showing signs of reflux as is Ari. We are dealing with the protein allergy first and hoping it helps before moving on to meds for the reflux. I was really hoping to avoid all this with the twins. It was HELL with Nevy. The only things I am thankful for is 1) I knew the signs and caught it right away. 2) I've dealt with it before I know the tricks to help ease their pain. 3) I know how to get them the treatment they need to feel better. It's VERY hard dealing with GERD babies but Nevy taught me alot and I'm hoping that knowledge will help the twins cause I'd hate to see them suffer as long as Nevy did.

Well now for some good news! Ari lost her cord last week so both girls got their first baths (12/12). They loved the water (yay more water rats! lol) but holy cow it was hard trying to get both of them done at the same time! Even with Jose helping! I gave them another one yesterday which was easier because I did them one at a time but it took me 45mins. I can't wait for them to be old enough and I can just toss all 3 stinky butts in the tub at once! lol

So to answer the question I've been asked a 1,000 times already......

YES! THE TWINS ARE FRATERNAL! :)

That means "not alike". Two embryos in = two seperate babies out. They are no more alike then me having 3 seperate pregnancy instead of just two. All the girls are their own person even though they came from the same batch of embryos.

Yes I do agree that the twins look alike but so does Nevy lol. Arianna & Nevy could have been twins as babies they look so alike but Araceli is my "special" baby lol because she is the ONLY white kid I have lol! Yep thats right I have one Mexican twin and one White twin. Thats how I know they are fraternal for sure. It's hard to tell in pics but Celi is way lighter then Ari. She also has a smaller head and is the only one with Jose's chin (Nevy & Ari have mine).

Well I'm off to wash bottles and change poop (oh joy!) Have a HAPPY HOILDAY if I don't post by X-mas and enjoy your family because I sure enjoy mine! :)

Arianna's bath

Araceli's bath

All clean! (Ari & Celi)

(Yes they get Paci's for the reflux. No I didn't want them to have them cause of what I went through with getting Nevy's away but I rather they have them then be in pain from reflux all the time. The swallowing motion keeps the acid down)

The 2nd week...

Well the Twins are a little over a week old now. They are both doing really well. Dr.'s appt on Monday put them both back up to birth weight with Ari being 5lbs 3.5oz (.5oz from birth weight) and Celi at 5lbs 3oz. They are eating about 2oz at each feeding which is still a little less then they need to be but Ari took an extra .5oz today. So I'm hoping they will be moving up to 3oz feedings soon. They are also going about 4hrs at night now. Which means we are getting a small amount of sleep again.

Celi lost her cord last night and it looks like Ari is not far behind. I gave them both a sponge bath today which they both hated lol. I can't wait to give them real baths...the little stinkers! I'm still pumping so the girls are getting a breastmilk/formula mix. It probably wont be until they are closer to their due date that they will be able to breastfeed well.

Nevy has been doing great with the girls. She loves them so much. She is still going through the "twos" and gives us a hard time about other things (like picking up her toys) but she has been so good with the babies. She loves to help and acts like a 2nd Mommy.

I can't believe a 1.5 weeks have gone by! Jose has to go back to work next week and I have NO IDEA how I am going do this alone! Right now we take shifts at night so we both get 5-6hrs of sleep and during the day we both feed them but once he goes back to work he wont be able to do the night feedings anymore. I'm hoping to get Nevy to start going to bed earlier so that way I can as well and Jose can do the last feeding (between 10:30pm-12am) and then I only have one night feeding (between 2:30am-4am). He would be gone for work before the AM feeding.

It's been hard these last 9 days with recovering from surgery, taking care of the twin, keeping things as normal for Nevy as possible and still finding time for myself to eat and shower but it is such a blessing to see these two perfectly healthy babies and know that everything I went through all the pain, problems and hormones was so worth it! To have 36 weeks twins that only spent 48hrs in the NICU and got to come home is such a blessing. Thank you all for sharing this journey with me! :)

The Twins Birth Story!

Well since I FINALLY have a minute.....

THE TWINS ARE HERE!

Yep our little girls were born on November 30,2009. Baby A- (Arianna) was 5lbs 4oz 19 1/4 inches she was born at 2:21pm. Baby B- (Araceli) was 5lbs 3oz 19 inches she was born at 2:22pm.

So here is how it all happened...

On Monday (11/30) I had my Dr.'s appt and Non stress test at 8:30am. I had been having regular contractions since Sat. night but they were not painful and only lasting 30sec. So I assumed they were braxton hicks. The girls did great on the non stress test and the Dr. came in to talk to me. I told her about the contractions and she said "They sound like nothing to worry about but I'll check you anyway". She checked my cervix and had a shocked look. I asked what I was and she said 4cm but only 5% effaced. We were told to head over to the hospital to be on the safe side since Baby A was a footling breech again and if my water broke her cord or foot could come out. Jose dropped me off and went home to drop off the the car and get my hospital bag. In triage my contractions were showing up in the 30-40's (with Nevy they were over 160!). So they were not very painful just a little annoying. They would come every 5,8 or 10 mins. So not regular at all. My Dr. came down (ya she was on call that day!) and said she was keeping me b/c I was over 4cm but since I had just ate breakfast we had to wait 6hrs for the c-section. So it was planned for after 3pm. Jose arrived and I was sent upstairs to a recovery room were I would be monitored before and after the c-section. The Dr. decided to check me again at about 11am. I was 5cm and still 5% effaced. So I was in labor though I never had hard contractions. The next few hours were a blur of Dr.'s and nursing coming in and asking us to sign things or stupid questions that kept being asked over and over. At about 1:30pm I had to pee and got up to do so. I noticed some blood and told the nurse. She said it's probably from everyone checking you so often. I layed back in bed and about 10 mins later I felt pressure. I told the nurse and since my Dr. was right down the hall she went to get her. I was checked and was 6cm 100% effaced! Thats when things went really fast! The dr. said we had to deliver now b/c these kids were coming fast (still no real contractions! Lucky me right? Had Nevy's labor been that easy I would never of needed a c-section!). Next I know I'm being taken to the OR. I got a resident to do my Epidural and of course he took 3 tries to get it! Finally all numb I was layed down and they started. Jose was brought in 5mins later. About 20 mins into the c-section the twins were born. They both screamed (Ari was very loud and wouldn't stop crying lol). I didn't get to see them b/c the NICU staff had to take them but after a few mins Jose got to go see them. The NICU Dr. came in and told me their weights and that they were doing great. About 15mins later Jose brought both of them to me. Ari was still crying and kept on crying lol. The Dr. finished up and we all went to the recovery room.

In recovery the nurse kept trying to talk me into giving them formula but all I wanted to do was breastfeed them both but Celi had a hard time latching and both their sugar levels went below 55. So I HAD to give them a bottle. After 20mins they checked both girls again and Celi was up to 67 and Ari was only up to 36. So the called the NICU and they came up to take Ari. I was really upset but I knew and prepared myself for an NICU stay since I found out we were having twins. It wasn't so bad since Celi was still with us. I got to breastfeed Celi for 15 mins and then I had to give her formula to make sure her sugar stayed up. The nurse came in and wanted to do another sugar check. I told her she didn't finish eating the formula yet and if she could come back when she was done ( I knew from Nevy's birth that the glucose level peaks 20mins after a feeding and that if she checked before she was done it would be low since she was buring calories to suck) well sure enough her level was below 55. I was so mad at that nurse b/c she KNEW it would be low if the baby wasn't done eating and she was to much of a b**ch to just come back and check later. So off to The NICU Celi went which is when I really broke down b/c both girls were gone.

Celi never had another low sugar level. Her level down in the NICU about 15mins after that feeding in recovery was way over 55! So really Celi never had sugar issues. I was still really numb and had to stay in recovery until I could feel my feet. That took 4hrs instead of 2hrs b/c I was given some extra Epidural right at the end b/c I was starting to get feeling again. I had a pain block done (AWESOME! If you have the option get one!) It's were they use a needle (guided by ulrasound) to inject pain meds into the layers of your uterus and skin. It's done while your still numb so you dont feel a thing. It lasts 24 hrs and works great. I was sent to my room and told I could walk after 8-12 hrs depending on my pain. By 4am I was ready to get up (with Nevy I stayed in bed for 3 days and paid for it. The more you move after a c-section the better you will feel). I wanted to go down the NICU to see the babies right away. So Jose took me at 5:30am. Ari was doing really good her sugar levels were stable and she had a sugar IV in. Celi on the other had had some bloating which they ran tests and x-rays on. They thought she "may" have an infection so to be on the safe side they stopped her oral feeding and gave her an IV and a tube (down the nose) feedings until the blood test came back. It was neg. so they took the tube out and left the IV in until her tummy could tolerate full feedings again. I guess it was from the NICU pushing her to eat so much to keep her suagrs up she got bloated.

That next moring at 9am Ari's IV was removed and the 24hr count down began(they have to go 24hrs without any low suagrs readings to leave the NICU). At 3pm Celi's was removed. We spent the day in the NICU with the girls and family visiting. Nevy got go to the lobby so I could see her and so could Jose. We showed her pics of the babies and then took my mom and grandparents up to the NICU to see the twins while Jose spent time with Nevy. On Wed. morning we went down and were told the girls could come up after the Dr. gave them the ok. At 12pm the girls were both released and got to come to my room. It was soooo nice having them with us again. They eat so well! They were putting away whole 2oz bottles which some full term babies can't even do!

We spent the next two days getting use to having twins (ha! right lol). We came home on Friday (Dec. 4th). We have been home a little over 24hrs and now and I have to say its been nuts! Nevy couldn't wait to see the babies. I pulled the cover off Celi's carseat and Nevy pokes her in the nose and said "dolly". Then Celi started to cry and Nevy realized she was real and looked and me and screamed "Baby! Mommy baby!". It was to cute. She wanted to hold them right away. So I sat her on the bed and gave her both girls on my body pillow. She was so happy! She's been such a good big sister. All she wants to do it kiss them, hold them and help Daddy hold the bottles. She just loves them to death.

They are doing very well. Celi is my pro breastfeeder. I can get her on for 30mins and she still kills 1-1.5oz of formula. Jose went to get me a breatspump today (we tried to get one yesterday but they were closed) and I've been pumping like crazy. Right now I almost make enough to feed both of them. I am really surprised my milk came on the 2nd day this time. With Nevy it didn't come in until 6days after she was born! Since the girls are preemies they dont suck very well and have a hard time latching though Celi does pretty good. I'm hoping to get them off formula soon and either bottle feed breatmilk until they get better at breastfeeding or just keep pumping and using a bottle. Celi acts a little closer to term then Ari. She can eat for longer, eats more and is awake more often but they will both be doing well in a few weeks. We have to feed them every 3hrs b/c they are preemies the Dr. doesnt want them going any longer. So yeah very sleepless nights! Jose is off work the next 2 weeks and I'm so happy he is b/c I really need the help! :)

Well thats it!( Yes I know this was a novel but not only is this blog for everyone to enjoy its my way of keeping a journal for the kids. So I try not to miss a detail). It's going to be hard but I know it will sooooo be worth all the effort in the end. I love my 3 little princesses with all my heart and Jose and I could not be happier with them!

35-36 weeks...

Well here I am at almost 36 weeks. Really don't ask me how I did it b/c I don't have a clue. I was pretty sure with my history of pre-term labor that the twins would be here by now. The Dr. was guessing by now as well b/c of my pre-eclampsia. So far (knock on wood) my BP has stayed in the 140's/90's which isn't great but it's not horrible either. I'll be doing another 24 hour protein test next week to see if my numbers have gone up at all.

At this point I've made it farther with the pregnancy then I did with Nevy's. I delivered Nevy at 35weeks 6days which is what I am today. So one more day and it will be a real goal for me to reach a full 36 weeks. I have to keep telling myself just one more week until FULL term (37 weeks) and just 2 weeks until my c-section date (12/14) which I really hope I don't see at this point b/c my poor uterus is dying with all this baby (about 12lbs of baby in me right now).

This weeks Dr.'s appt went great. I'm still at a 13lbs weight gain (yeah I know it's not much but I haven't gained the last 3 weeks since I no longer have room to eat). The twins did great on the non-stress test and I'm still 2cm dilated. After the exam I started to leak fluid and two days later (Thanksgiving) I was worried my water might have a leak. Yes I know it wasn't very good of me to wait 2 days before calling the Dr. but "Airhead" was on call Wed and I didn't want to see her. So after Thanksgiving dinner I gave my Dr. a call and we dropped into L&D for a fast "fluid swab" which came back neg. Dr.'s guess is it's still my mucus plug coming out but just thinning out a bit. So the babies are still baking and I'm still feeling like crap lol.

My next appt is Mon. and then Wed. If everything goes ok I'll have two more appts that next week and then my c-section (really hoping they come before then!). Don't get me wrong I'm so happy to have made it this far but a persons body can only take so much which is why the average for twins is 35-36 weeks. I have one more week until my final goal which seems like a lifetime away but I know we can do it. It's been a long long long long long....long pregnancy (well for me at least) and I just can't wait to hold my little girls. So wish us luck these last two weeks b/c no matter if they want to or not they WILL be out by Dec. 14th! :)

The week from hell!

Were to start? Well I guess I should back track to Monday.... (You may want to get a snack this is gonna be long!)

Monday I had my growth ultrasound and everything went ok. The girls are both doing great. Baby A was 4lbs 13oz and Baby B was 5lbs 10oz. First off the ultrasound tech way OVER measured baby B. I watcher her do it and even made a comment about it. I was really mad. She had a hard time getting A since she is laying in a funny way. So when she did B she just zipped right through and didn't even try to be accurate! Nevy was 5lbs 10oz at BIRTH which was 36 weeks and I had gestational diabetes with Nevy! There is NO WAY a baby who was in the 50th %tile this whole pregnancy gained 3lbs in a month and went from 50% to 75%! Twins gain slower then singletons...not faster! Plus she has been almost the same as her sister this whole pregnancy. My guess puts her at about 5lbs 2oz right now. Anyway... Baby B is still breech and Baby A is in a funny sideway/breech combo. Her butt is in my cervix and she is laying sideways (picture her using my pelvis as a recliner with her butt in my cervix and her head resting on one side and her feet going up my other side). So she isn't head down (boo!) but at least she is no longer a footling breech which lowers the risk if my water breaks at home. I'm still holding out hope that she will flip but at this point it probably wont happen but keep praying anyway!

So after the ultrasound Jose and I went home. It was about 4pm by the time we got home. I had been having a headache most of sunday and even monday. So when I got home I took some Tylenol and laid down. An hour later it was worse instead of better. I had my grandma check my blood pressure and sure enough it was 140/100. I called the Dr.'s office and my Dr. said to head into the hospital. She ran a few tests and everything came back normal. I only had one high reading while there and so she was about to send me home but she asked about my headache and when I tod her I had it since sunday and it wasn't going away she decided to keep me and do a 24 hour urine protein check. I wasn't happy she was keeping me there for the urine check when I could do it at home but my head hurt to much to fight her. So up I went to my room.

Not much really happened the first day. My headache didn't go away even with all kinds of fun meds. I didn't really get much sleep which probably made it worse. The only NICE thing about the hospital was the food. Yes my hospital has some kickass food lol! You get room service whenever you want it and you get to pick off a huge menu lol. Shhhh I'm pregnant with twins all I think of is food! Anyway I finished my test and the next morning (wed) I got the results which were 300mg. That is borderline pre-eclampsia but still low enough not to be to serious.....yet.

That was at 6:30am and I was told to wait for the on call Dr. to come and talk to me before I got to go home. At 7:30am I gave up trying to sleep and order breakfast. Which was awesome lol! Right before my food came I started to have cramps but once my food came I ignored them and ate. I was sorry after I did that b/c they just got worse after all that food. I though maybe I had to go to the bathroom and that was the problem but it wasn't and I figured that out once I went pee and realized I was losing my mucus plug. I went back into the room and called the nurse. I started to get contractions after that. The nurse came in and decided to call the on call Dr. The Dr. came in and what luck I have it was the "Air head" one from last week. She pretty much ignored everything I said and told me I was fine and to go home. I asked her to check my cervix and was told I was 2cm dialted. I was only 1cm the night before and was concerned that I was in ealry labor. Once again I got the brush and was told I could go home. Fine whatever I rather be home then there anyway.

The nurse however was worried about how much I was contracting and decided to hold off on my papers for an hour to see if they came closer together. They never did but she still paged the Dr. anyway just to be safe. The Dr. took 4hrs to get back to her and once again said "Send her home. Early labor can last for days or weeks but make sure she sees her Dr. on friday". So FINALLY at 2pm I got the go ahead to leave but of course I ordered lunch first :) We came home and I passed out I was sooo tired.

Not much happened thursday. Jose took the rest of the week off to help me since the Dr. put me on strict bedrest along with having Dr.'s appt 2 times a week. I was so happy to see Nevy. I missed her so much! She was happy to see Mommy too!

Friday (today) I had my Dr.'s appt and my BP once again was high (141/92). She didn't want to send me back to the hospital since we already know I'm starting to get preeclampsia. It's a lot more common with twins. Twice the blood volume, twice the placentas is going to equal twice the blood pressure. She really thinks I'll be going into labor before it becomes a really issue and she is forced to deliver me. I am in early labor (have been since Wed.) and still keep getting cramps and contractions. However I'm still only 2cm. Dr's guess is the twins arrive before Thanksgiving (which was my guess from day 1). Since they are still breech I'm not getting enough pressure on my cervix to dilate me but all the weight from them is slowly getting things moving. I think my water will break before I go into labor.

She is keeping me on strict bedrest until I deliver which means.......yes the worse possible thing in the world......I CANT GO TO THE MOVIES!!!!!! (Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!) So NO New Moon for me! (insert kicking, crying and screaming here). I was so upset I even BEGGED the Dr. to let me go. She wouldn't give and told me I had to wait to see Rob (guess she is a fan too ;) ). I was so upset even Jose felt bad. I know it's the best for the twins but I was so looking forward to that all week that now I'm in a funk and stuck in the house on what I call "house arrest" and not "bedrest". It sucks but what can I do?? Jose offered to get me the bootleg from a friend but it's not the same as seeing it in the movies. So I guess I'll be seeing New Moon at the movies with two babies stuck to my boobies b/c I'm NOT missing it!

All in all I feel like total crap. The cramps, pressure and contractions are killing me. I cant eat or sleep and now I'm stuck in bed (yes that was for all of you who said I didn't really make any whines during this pregnancy lol). Welcome to the "horrible last weeks of a twin pregnancy". I finally know what all the twin moms were talking about. After 34 weeks it's hell and all you do is take one day at a time! I'll be 35 weeks on Sunday (I had Nevy at 35weeks 5days) and I'm just hoping to get as close to 36 weeks as I can so the babies can come home with me and not get stuck in the NICU.

Ok if your still reading this BLESS YOU b/c I know its a novel by now but I try to keep everyone as up to speed as I can. This pregnancy has been a ride but I know in the end when I'm holding those two cute, pink and screaming babies it will all be worth it. <3

The "33rd" week!

Wow I'm just one more week from my second to last goal! I can't believe we have come so far! My Dr. was so sure the twins would be here by now but they just keep showing her wrong! They really are stubborn little twinkies!

Ok for my usual update. I had my 33 week appt. today. I have finally met all 5 Dr.s in the practice and so far the only one I dont like is the one I met today lol! She made me wait 45 mins past my appt time and was a total air head! I PRAY to GOD I don't get her when I go into labor!

All in all things are perfect. My cervix is STILL closed (yay!) and the girls are moving great. Dr. "Air Head" did a fast in-room ultrasound to check the heartbeats and had a very hard time finding Baby A. She "thinks" that Baby A "MAY" be either sideways now or head down. I so dont want to get my hopes up. So I'm going to pretend she didn't say that. I have my final weight/scan ultrasound next Mon. and I'll know for sure. So keep praying she goes head down!!

Well these 33 weeks are finally getting the better of me. My poor uterus is measuring some where around 43-44 weeks (EEK!). Yes that is like being a month past your due date! Rolling over in bed is now a workout and bending over has the risk of not coming back up without help lol. Nevy's been great. She is an awesome "shoe finder" lol and "put on" girl! She is going to be such a great big sister. I'm done shopping for the twins (woo hoo!). Just waiting on the stroller, co-sleeper and diaper bag to ship. I have to buy some diapers but I'm waiting for Jose to have off b/c walking around the store is hard. Other then that I am DONE!......well.....I do have some washing to do but shhhh I'm trying to pretend that pile of babies clothes doesn't exist.

Well that it for this weeks update on us. Stay tuned for next weeks ultrasound, weight updates and appt! :)

32 weeks and PISSED!

Well before I get into the reason why I'm so mad. I'll give my usual twin update.....

The girls are both doing wonderful. I had a bedside ultrasound (which is just a small fast one in the room). So I don't have weights or anything like that. I'll have a regular level II ultrasound on the 16th (my last one). I got to see the twins breathing fluid and moving around. Baby B has flipped......SHE IS ALSO BREECH!! (uhhhh!) Yeah these two are making me nuts already lol. Now they are both breech. I just hope they go hand in hand and flip head down together in the next 2 weeks lol.

My cervix is still high and closed. Everything looks great and I should make it to 34 weeks without any trouble. Once we hit that mark the twins can come at any point. So just about 1.5 weeks to go. I have a few odds and ends we still need but all in all I have everything the twins need.

So the reason I am pissed off...

Northwestern has just passed an H1N1 policy at the hospital. No children under the age of 18 years old are allowed to visit. So that means Nevy can't see her sisters in the hospital even though she'll have her H1N1 shot by then! I'm just sooooo freaking pissed! I wanted her to be able to see the babies right away. Now I can't even see my Nevy for 3-4 days because she's not allowed in the hospital. This also means my sisters and brother can't see the twins or Jose's nieces or any one else really because all the kids in the family are teens or little. I know most people can't find baby sitters either. So I doubt anyone will really be able to come to the hospital now. I know this is for the twins and my protection but I hate that Nevy can't see them or me.

My Dr.'s office now has the same policy. So Nevy can no longer go to ultrasounds or appt.s with me. I understand how serious H1N1 is (I was first in line for my shot) but I think this is BS! Seasonal flu kills more people in a year and they never had this rule before! My hospital is actually the last one in our area to make this rule. Almost every hospital now has this rule in place. I think it's over reacting not to allow siblings to visit but I guess we don't have a choice.

Well I'm off to take care of my sick baby. Nevy has ANOTHER cold. I'm so sick of her getting sick! It seems like everyone likes to bring there sick kids around my baby. She has such a crappy immune system from being preterm and she gets colds so easy which I then get! I really think we are going to go "hermit" for the next few months. That way she wont bring anything home to the twins. I hate watching my baby suffer. It's just not fair.

31 weeks 3 day and still pregnant!

Everything seem to be going well. Both babies are active and doing great. They are still breech and sideways but Baby B dropped down a little. Probably because of all my contractions squeezing her head. At this point I doubt Baby A is going head down so it looks like I'll be having a c-section (sooooo not happy about that).

Dr. said my cervix is a little more soft then last week but it's still closed. So she said I "should" make it to 34 weeks. At which point labor would no longer be stopped. My guess is Thanksgiving week sometime (about 35-36 weeks). The Dr. said since baby A is not head down putting pressure on my cervix I may make it to the full 38 week c-section date (Dec. 14th). I doubt that but it would be nice to have FULL term twins.

At this point I think I'll be begging for a c-section soon. I'm just so sore, tired and all around aggravated. I hate that I can't even walk up 3 stairs without being out of breath. My tummy is getting so big I can't roll over in bed! I've only gained 11lbs so far but it feels like 50lbs! Ok enough self pity lol.

We just have a few things to get and we are pretty much done. I can't believe they could be here in 2.5 weeks! Time is just going to fast.....:snort:..... NOT! lol Anyway....my next appt is Nov. 4th (next Wed.) so I'll have more updates then. My last ultrasound is set for 34 weeks (Nov. 16th) and I'm excited to see how big they are getting! Ok I'm off to bed. I'll be back in a week..... :)

30 weeks! (Just 2 more goals!)

Today I had my last 2 week appt. So now I'll be updating eveyone with weekly appts. I'm now 30 weeks and the twins are doing great. They still measure the same as singletons. Baby A was 2lbs 13oz and Baby B was 3lbs 2oz. Since they are bigger and in weird positions it's getting harder to get exact weights but a 4oz difference is no biggie.

They are still breech and sideways. So we sat down and had the big "looks like your screwed" talk. Twins tend to flip all over up until birth but mine have stayed the same. Which means the odds of Baby A flipping head down are slim (still pray really really hard that she does!). So a c-section has been set. Hospital policy is it can't be set until 38 weeks. Ours has been set for Monday Dec. 14th (38 weeks 1 day). The odds of me making it to that date are about 5%. So most likely I'll have an "emergency" c-section when I go into labor if Baby A doesn't flip by then.

My cervix is still the same (woo hoo!) but with baby A being a footling breech I still can't go far from the hospital. I am also very lucky to have such a great Dr.'s office b/c they are the first office at Northwestern to be offering the H1N1 shots. They got them in wed. of last week and have already given them to 10% (about 300 women) in their office. Since I'm high risk I got mine today (yes I know my risks, yes I've done a TON of research and no I'm not "dumb" for getting one. It's serious people! Get your facts straight, weigh your risks and get a shot!) I'm hoping to get Nevy hers in the next 2 weeks but we will have to see when her office gets them in.

Well thats about it. No news is good news! Just 4 more weeks and I'll reach my 2nd to last goal! I'll be so happy to deliver after 34 weeks but I really hope to make it to 37 weeks. I can't believe time is flying by and these babies could be here at any time (not that I want them here this early. Bake chubby girls BAKE!). My next appt is 10/28 and I'll be back with more updates then! :)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://double-trouble-triple-fun.blogspot.com/2009/10/30-weeks-just-2-more-goals.html' title='30 weeks! (eek!)

Not much to update on.....which is a GOOD thing lol.

Cervix is still the same (yay!) and the babies both sound great with heartbeats in the 140's. I'll have a growth ultrasound at my appt in 2 weeks. So it was pretty much just a fast visit. Dr. decided to check my uterus height and I am officially FULL term! Yep my uterus is measuring a full 40 weeks. I sure feel "term" lol. So every week I go from this point is like going over due with a singleton. I am really feeling the effects of this pregnancy. I hurt everywhere and my poor body is running out of energy. At this point I am just praying to make it to 34 weeks (little less then 6 weeks from now). I hope I make it to 36-37 weeks but I'm running out of steam.

Really people don't understand what it's like to be pregnant with twins....well unless you HAVE been. It is a LOT LOT harder then a singleton. Nevy's pregnancy was a walk in the park compared to this one. I'm getting to the point where I might just put myself on bedrest because walking kills my back. Ok enough ranting lol.

The Dr. did say I'm still not allowed to go more then 20-30mins from the hospital which really sucks! She is worried about how fast I might deliver since this is my second pregnancy and baby A is a footling breech which could be serious if my water breaks (yes I feel like a walking time bomb lol). I did get the "OK" to go to the pumpkin patch next week but thats it. After that I'm not allowed anymore "adventures" as she called it. I'm fine with that. I want them to be safe and I am willing to do whatever it takes. (So sorry everyone who has family parties that are far away I wont be able to go to them anymore.)

Well that it for now. I'll let everyone know how my 30 week appt. goes on the 19th.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://double-trouble-triple-fun.blogspot.com/2009/10/28-29-weeks-40-week-uterus-eek.html' title='28-29 weeks = 40 week uterus! It went away that night and I figured it was from the cervix exam that day. Well on Wed. I woke up feeling really yucky. Lucky me I had caught Nevy's cold. Nevy and I spent the day in bed watching Dora (like I didn't feel crappy enough I was tortured! lol). At about 5pm the cramps came back and I decided to take a bath.....not very relaxing when your 2 year old HAS to be in there with you lol. I have a waterbug for a toddler. They seemed to have stopped after about 30 mins. So we got out and I laid on the couch reading Nevy books until Jose got home at 7pm. Not long after he got home the cramps started yet again and this time my back was hurting. I figured another bath might be a good idea.....ALONE this time lol. I sat in there for 1.5hrs and they were just getting worse. So after my nice "talk" with the Dr. the day before about not calling in when something like that happened I decided to call and YAY she was the Dr. on call! Of course she was worried and wanted me in L&D right away. So off Nevy went next door and off to L&D we went.

I've been in the NEW Prentice Women's hospital before but just the NICU for Jose's cousin's baby. So yeah I was shocked that my L&D room looked like a huge hotel suite complete with flat screen TV, huge windows over looking the lake and anything you could think of! Even Jose was shocked that the huge window seat turned into a bed for him. Yes a bed! Not some weird chair bed like they use to have! Anyway....I was attached to the monitors and of course my babies can't behave! Since most of the cramps were low and in my back they weren't picking up much. After 20mins the Dr. came in and checked my cervix. She said it was still closed but seemed to have softened a little more. Since I had a cold she decided to rehydrate me and see if it helped. We were kept until about 2am when the cramps stopped. They babies did great the whole time. Kicking the monitor and staying active. So we got to go home. I had to go back in that Friday for a cervix re-check.

On Friday everything was fine. My cervix had not changed from the L&D trip and the babies looked great. My blood pressure on the other hand was a little high..... 130/100. I always get a little spike in my BP when I'm sick but since high BP with twins is common and can be serious she ran a blood panel and I left with instructions to take it easy all weekend. She now believes the high BP was from the cold med I was taking (safe in pregnancy but can cause high BP).

My blood panel came back fine (which I knew it would) but the only thing was I had borderline anemia. So I was told to start iron. The rest of the week went by fast without any more cramping. Had my normal Dr. appt yesterday. Baby A is 1lbs 12oz and Baby B is 1lbs 13oz. A is still breech and B is still sideways which means if A doesn't turn soon I'll be have a c-section.....poop! They measure on target with singles which is awesome! My cervix still hasn't changed which is even better news and my BP was 120/82! So all was great! We did get to see a great ultrasound view of the twins face to face touching each others cheeks. It was soooo cute! Well it was until baby B pushed baby A away lol.

My next appts. are Oct. 7th & 19th then they become weekly since I'll be 30 weeks and in the "gray zone" for delivery. 85% of twins come before 37 weeks (full term). The average is 34-36 weeks. Which puts us at "some time" in Nov. My guess is I'll be in the hospital for Thanksgiving since that is my 35th week and about the same time I had Nevy. Either way they will be here by Dec. 14th (38 weeks) since I can't go past then (not that I want to! My poor uterus will be measuring over 50 weeks by then! Can you imagine? Thats like going 2 months overdue with a single!).

Well thats it for now. We are getting so close to having these two and I can't wait! They are now at a 90% chance for survival if they come but of course with NICU time. We are pretty much done with buying everything and packing is almost finished.

Stay tuned as the drama unfolds.......lol

I passed!!

I'm in shock!

I just got a call from my high risk OB....

I PASSED my 3hr glucose test!

How this happened I have no idea!!

I failed really bad with Nevy. So bad my endo checked after my pregnancy to make sure I didn't have type 2 diabetes. I was diet controlled the whole pregnancy but right when I delivered at 35w5d my levels had gone up enough that I would have needed insulin if I didn't deliver in the next few days.

He was about 100% sure I would need insulin this time since logic says two placentas = two times the insulin resistance. We figured I would start the gestational diabetes (GD) diet early (I did at 12 weeks) and hope it would keep my levels down until about 30 weeks. He didn't think I could make it pass 30 weeks without insulin.

I skipped the 1hr test this time b/c I had failed so bad with Nevy I knew I would end up with the 3hr test. Guess I was wrong! My levels were awesome!!

Fasting- 85 (cut off is 100)
1hr- 153 (cut off 180)
2hr- 157 (cut off 160)
3hr- 126 (cut off 140)

I am very shocked my 1hr was so good. With Nevy it was 200. I guess those 40lbs I lost before getting pregnant paid off! I will keep following the GD diet just to make sure I dont develope it later in the pregnancy but I'm so happy I can keep eating small amounts of sugar lol!

So I guess the old saying of once a GD pregnancy always one doesn't apply to me!

24 weeks!

Well we made it to the 24 week mark and so far so good! I had my appt. today and the girls are doing wonderful. Baby A is still breech and Baby B is sideways.....as always lol! I had some cramping Sat. night that I "thought" was just braxton hicks since they went away after I took a bath but it turns out they were contractions. The outside of my cervix did thin a very small amount but nothing to worry about. The inside is still thick/long and I am closed. So it was just a little warning that it's time to slooooooow down. My last day of work is friday and we will be moving by my grandparents very soon since demo is about to start on the house before Oct. So I will be able to go on semi-bedrest if I need to.

I didn't get a growth scan this week but I'll have one at my next appt on 9/22. They should be around 2lbs each by then. My 3hr glucose test went well. I should have the results in the next two days. I hope I passed but since I had it with Nevy I doubt I will. Either way all that matters to me is nice BIG, healthy and at least 34 week twins!

Nevy has been sick with a cold this weekend. It's pretty bad she even lost her voice. My poor baby sounds like a frog when she talks. Once she gets over this cold we will all be going into CVS for our regular flu shots. Since I fall in the really high risk area I have to get a "swine flu" shot as well. Nevy and Jose will both have to get one too. So I'm trying to space the shots out as far as I can buy getting the flu shot early.

Well thats it for now. I'll update again when I know more. Thanks for sticking with us everyone. I know this pregnancy seems to be flying by (well for everyone but ME! lol) and I will try to keep you up to date on all that is going on.

22 week appt!

Yes they are both STILL girls lol. They are doing wonderful! Baby A is 1lbs 1oz and Baby B is 1lbs 0oz. A perfect 48th %tile. I had my iron tested today and should have the results tomorrow or thursday. I've been thinking my iron is low since I've been so tired. I'll have my 3hr glucose test at my next appt. (Sept. 8th) and another ultrasound at the end of Sept.

The OB did check my cervix which is closed and thick. So that is REALLY good! The official weight gain so far is about 3lbs and yes I really am trying to gain weight but my poor tummy is running out of room for food.

I guess our "talk" didn't go so well since baby A decided to turn butt down instead of head down lol but baby B is still sideways. Other than that the appt went really well. We are just about 1.5 weeks from the 24 week mark of survival outside the womb! Lets just hope I can make it to at least 35 weeks. I'm starting to feel like a house and don't know if my poor uterus can grow much more lol.

Thats it for now! I'll update in another 2 weeks at my next appt! :)

It's official...

We have NAMES!! Yep thats right! After locking Jose in a closet for a week with no food or water he gave in and picked out two names lmao! I'm just kidding but after some fighting and a few days to think about it we have decided to name the girls......

Arianna Faith Banderas
and
Araceli Grace Banderas

I'm still working on the spellings since you can spell both about 20 different ways and the middle names may be switched or changed but I'm pretty sure they will stay as is. They are pronounced: Are-e-on-ah and Air-ah-celey. Nicknames will be Ari and Celi. Ari's name means Holy one of Faith and Celi's means Alter of heaven and grace.

Arianna was my pick and Jose picked Araceli. Still trying to figure out who is who but I think Ari will be Baby A and Celi will be Baby B. So it looks like the twins wont be Thing 1 and Thing 2 lol! Nevy is VERY happy about her sisters. She just loves the belly! Not sure they love her laying on the belly or trying to sit on the belly but you know how sisters can be lol. I think Jose has finally got used to the idea of a house full of girls. He's really excited and can't wait to see them.

As for a son.....

HAHAHAHAHAH.....wait my side hurts.........HAHAHAHAHAHAH........deep breath........HAHAHAHHAHA..........Ok no really.......lol

I've decided to keep that door cracked. Maybe not open but cracked lol. I decided a LONG time ago that b/c of my PCOS and how hard it was to get pregnant both times that I want to be done before I'm 30 years old. So maybe just MAYBE when the twins are 5 years old I may try for another one. Of course this time we may ask the Dr. to do a gender test to the embryos b/c I wont be having more then 4 kids! So the next BETTER be a boy! lol

20 week update!

So we had our 20 week anatomy ultrasound today. It was so great to see the twins again. It was "supposed" to be 1.5hrs but Baby A (my flipper) decided to show off and would not hold still for more then 5 sec. I could not believe how active the baby was. Baby B on the other had just sat there sucking it's fingers and not moving lol. I guess they are going to be exact opposites. I can see Baby A is hyper like Nevy. My ultrasound ended up taking almost 3hrs but it was so nice to just watch them move. They both have big feet like Nevy too!

So the official report is Baby A @ 11oz and Baby B @ 12oz. PERFECT for 20 weeks! They are both laying transverse (sideways) with both heads on my left side and facing each other....STILL! I guess Baby A needs a "little talk" about going head down so Mommy doesn't need another c-section. Baby A's placenta is against my back and Baby B's is against my tummy (which I knew and explains why I dont feel B as often). Since Baby A would not hold still the tech had a hard time seeing the heart chambers. So I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound just to double check. My OB appts are now bi-weekly as well. So I will see the Dr. and get an ultrasound on the 25th.

The Dr. said everything looks great with all of us. Babies weights and fluid level are fine. I will have my cervix checked at my next appt. So all in all the three of us are healthy and doing very well but of course with twins that can change day to day. My first goal is to make it to 24 weeks (which is the earliest for survival outside the womb) then to 30 weeks (less chance for development problems) then 35 weeks (less chance for NICU time) and my last goal which I pray very hard to make is 37 weeks (which is considered full term). I wont be allowed to go past 38 weeks (Dec. 14th) since your uterus gets way to big and can cause problems. The average for twins is 35-36 weeks. So as long as I can make it to Thanksgiving I'll be happy!

And now for my EXTRA ADDITION OF NEWS.....

Jose and I have talked and since there really isn't much of a surprise to it anymore we decided to tell everyone the sexs. We were both VERY VERY shocked. I think he is still adjusting to the news but I've come to terms with it and I am very happy. So without further waiting..........................................................................................................pause...........................
.................Ok I lied about the further waiting part lol..................................................

We are Having................................................................lol...............am I driving you nuts yet??..........

TWO VERY HEALTHY...................................................AND VERY CUTE.....................................

BABY GIRLS!!!

Yep Twin GIRLS!! God save Jose! Poor man has 4 women to live with now! Good thing the new house will have two bathrooms! hahahahahah! Plus side is we don't really have to buy anything now. Down side is I dont think they will EVER have NAMES!!! lol

20w3d Twin belly shot......hey and I've only gained 2lbs!

I'm pregnant with an Octopus!

I'm starting to think I have Quads in there lol. It seems like I get kicked in 16 different places at once. These two are getting soooo active and STRONG! I swear one kicked my bladder yesterday and I had to RUN to the potty lol! They seem to be most active when I'm trying to sleep. So needless to say I haven't been getting to may Zzz's!

It's so weird how different being pregnant with two is vs. one. Nevy didn't become this strong until I was about 26 weeks. Humm....I wonder if they are already working together to drive me crazy HA! Well no matter how painful.....and yes it does create PAIN when they kick at the same time.....I'm still happy to know they are both doing well. :)

I have tried to get Nevy to feel them move but she wont hold her hand on my tummy long enough. You know there are more important things to a two year old then feeling babies kick.....like hiding grapes under my TV or drawing all over herself with a pen :insert eye roll here: lol. As for Jose, Well they seem to enjoy teasing him already b/c every time he puts a hand on me they move to the other side of my tummy lol. It's just to funny! I feel bad for him since he really wants to feel them but I can't help laugh when they do it. It's like they know DaDa wants to feel them and they want to tick him off already! lol poor Jose!

Well thats it for now. I doubt you want to here about my hip and back pain. So I figured I'd share the nice side of a twin pregnancy and not the "whine and vent" side lol. My ultrasound is Wed. the 12th. So I will have another update for everyone in 2 days. :)

SwagBucks BABY!!

So I know I've gone on and on and on....and on (lol) about Swagbucks but I can't help it! The site is awesome!! I've earned six $5 gift cards for Amazon.com and two $5 gift cards for EuphoriaBaby.com. I bought Nevy some books last week with my Amazon cards and I bought a two pack of natural breast flow bottles for the twins from Euphoria and guess what I DIDN'T PAY A THING! So you must be wondering how am I earning all these gift cards without buying or spending a dime??? Well let me share the wonderful world of SwagBucks with you!!! :) .......

Swagbucks is a search engine. Yep thats it just a plain old search engine like google or yahoo. All you do is join, download the search bar from their site and use it to make everyday searches! Thats it! See how easy it is!! As you search sometimes a little box will pop up with your search and say "You have won $1 (or anywhere between 1 and 5) Swagbucks!" It adds it to your account for you. So you dont have to do ANYTHING! As the swagbucks add up you simply go to the "prize" section of the site and pick a prize that you have enough swagbucks for. You can buy a $5 Amazon card for 45 swagbucks or a $5 EuphoriaBaby card for 5 swagbucks! They have TONS of prizes. Not just gift cards (like Jc Penny, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks & Target which range from $5-$150) but you can buy shirts, music downloads, trading cards, an Xbox 360, posters and so so much more!

Ok so lets say you don't want a gift card to a store or anything else I've talked about..... how about cash.....yes you heard me I said CASH! You can get $5 in Paypal credit for 70 swagbucks! Or a $10 MasterCard for 135 swagbucks! Yep you heard me right that is cash for doing nothing but using a search engine!

No Junk mail! No questions! No phone calls! No bugging you period! The only emails I receive from Swagbucks is to confirm I bought a gift card and to let me know when its ready to be used (in about 5-10 days). Most never expire but some need to be used in 30 days or so.

This is an AWESOME way to earn extra $$$$! You dont do anything other then your normal everyday searching and I DO mean NORMAL searching. Dont go into hyperdrive and search like 500 sites in 5 mins. It wont make a difference. I normally win at least 2 swagbucks a day doing about 10 searches. Sometimes I win a 3 swagbucks or a 5. In two months I've made over 200 swagbucks! It's easy and free!

Dont believe me?? Ask the thousands of fans Swagbucks has on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and everywhere else! Best part if you add them to your accounts you can watch for free Swagcodes! Whats a Swagcode??... It's when swagbucks feels nice and gives away an extra 1 or 2 swagbucks just because! There is at least one everyday! Get the code add it to you account and thats it! Check out this blog that announces when swagcodes are out, where they are and how long you have to snag them! http://www.we-love-swag-bucks.com/ (they even have proof of their winnings on the site!)

Well all I can say is this.... if your STILL reading this and STILL don't sign up for Swagbucks then you must be rich and not need the extra $$$ because there is NO reason NOT to join! Free stuff, No bugging and no work! Why not join???!

CLICK the link BELOW to JOIN SWAGBUCKS NOW!! (You get 3 free swagbucks just for joining!)

*>>>>>http://swagbucks.com/refer/Banderas85<<<<<*

Then go to the site http://www.swagbucks.com/ and DOWNLOAD THE TOOL BAR (you cant earn if you don't have a tool bar to search!) and check out the prize area!

Also they have drawings on the Blog to win stuff like 500 swagbucks (3 swagbucks to enter) or an Xbox 360 or a signed poster by a band! Everything (even the gift cards) are donated by the sponser. So your NOT winning STOLEN stuff and TRUST ME the gift cards work and they DO mail out the prizes (if you order something like a shirt). So make sure to give your correct address for them to mail things to!

(On a side note: It can take 4 weeks to earn 100 swagbucks at first but as you learn how to use the site and how to win you can earn them faster. Earning free stuff doesn't happen over night but even if you only get one $5 gift card a month thats STILL a FREE $5 every month. I average about 2-3 $5 gift cards a month right now. It's sooo worth it!)

The name game...

I wish I could just toss all the girl names I like into a hat and draw two lol! Then Jose wouldn't have a choice on what names we used. I think he assumes that if we don't pick girl names out then we wont have any more girls...riiiiight.....nice try buddy. I like to be prepared. I've spent the last 17 weeks calling my twins "it" "they" and my favorite "hey you stop kicking my bladder". So I can't wait to find out what they are and give them names. I want to have everything lined up for my BIG ultrasound on Aug.12th but Jose wont agree on ANYTHING....can you say pain in the butt!

We have boys names picked out. Our first son will be Jose Artemio Banderas Jr. (like the world needs another Jose but I promised him a JR.). If it's two boys the second will be James Robert Banderas (after my father Robert James Tracy). So yeah if its girl/boy or girl/girl twins I guess they will be called "Thing 1" and "Thing2" (yes Nevy reads to much Dr. Seuss).

Personally I really like Jazmin Faith or Jacquelyn Anya for the girl/boy twins. If it's girl/girl I really like Allison Hope and Addison Faith (Ally & Addy) or Arianna Faith and Ayanna Hope. Jose hates all of them except Jacquelyn Anya. I really want to stick with the whole "heavenly theme" because of Nevaeh which is why I picked Hope and Faith as middle names (because Jose hates them lol). I wouldn't mind input but thats the problem! He doesn't want to think about girl names.....like at ALL! Uhhh men I tell ya!

So at the moment that is where we are. Stuck with no girl names. Which is why when everyone asks me "So do you guys have names yet?" I say "Dont ask. Sore subject!" :P Now you know why I dont want to talk about it lol.

Welcome to MY WORLD!!

I have decided to start a blog since my crazy preggy brain seems to forget EVERYTHING! I really want to remember the twins pregnancy and having 3 kids under 3 I'm sure it will be a fun ride once they get here! So to start the blog here is a little info about us....

My name is Jennifer (I'm the one doing all the incoherent postings :) hehe). I'm the proud wife of Jose my loving hubby for the last....oh God what is it now.....hummm.....lol.... almost 5 years! I'm also a SAHM (stay at home mom) to my adorable daughter Nevaeh Inez (Nevaeh is Heaven spelled backwards ). My princess will be turning TWO in about a week (eeeek!!). I am also expecting TWINS (eeek AGAIN!) in Dec. (that puts me at 17 weeks). As you can tell I'll be going crazy in a few short months. Which is why expecting double the trouble means I'll have triple the fun with the 3 of them!!!

So stop on by to get your dose of laughter as I share our crazy journey with 3 kids under 3 years old!
